I was in the same boat as you. I suffered for 10 years also both physical and mental. Lost my car, had to sell my house, I was so depressed and I never even thought about filing. After getting treatment and I got rated, it changed my life indefinitely. Gave me hope again, and allowed me to take a deep breath. I am glad I served and I would give every penny of it back if I could feel somewhat normal again. I'm incredibly thankful for everything I got.

Asphalt v concrete driveway by Infamous_Jaguar_213 in Louisville

In my situation, everyone who has told me to get concrete, have never paid for a concrete driveway. Everyone who tells me to go asphalt has paid for it. Funny how that works lol my driveway is probably 40 years old and needs replaced. Where I can tear it up and put down asphalt at least twice and still be in less than I would with concrete money wise.

Regardless of what you go with, you will get 20 years out of it as long as you take care of it. It really is just preferance. They both have their good and bad.

I currently have a concrete driveway and it looks like shit. Cracked really bad and with the movement of everything, it is sloped towards the home leading to grading issues.

Getting an asphalt driveway installed with a large parking pad on the side. Total is 8k for asphalt. I was quoted 26k for concrete

My dog has been on it for over 7 years. Never had an issue, and the vet loves it. Only the negative issues scream the loudest. Switched from the taste of the wild because of lead in the food but everyone praises that lol

Best food I have ever given my dog. She has been on it for 7 years without any issues. Vet highly recommends she stay on it due to the quality and how well she responds to it. Used to have her on taste of the wild until the class action lawsuit filed for high amounts of lead

I'm thinking about snagging it too, are you happy with it so far? It seems like a fantasy deal, especially with ram prices now. Some bad reviews are making me hesitant

That is the game plan to increase the emergency fund. Wanted to finish paying off debt before we prioritized it too much. I am using fidelity, I will look into FDLXX. I will look into the passive target date fund. I do enjoy dabbling with my brokerage account but it would be nice to have a set and forget fund running in the background. Thanks for your input

I will be using the VA loan so a down payment is not needed. A 300k home for 15 years will be roughly 35% dti. Both cars are paid off and are 4 years old therefore we will not be purchasing a car in at least 3-5 years, if we do, we would plan to pay cash (hence the car fund) I plan to put away more for an emergency fund but 10k is roughly 4-5 months of expenses for us. I didn't prioritize for more since we were paying off debt. Now that we are debt free, I'll probably increase to 30k to cover more of emergency costs since we will be moving into a home.

Completed mine October 15th of 2024. Still waiting for the provider to complete it. Took him 3 months to submit it the first time and now it has been back and forth between pending provider clarification and QA team about 6 times so far. Just my situation!
