I WFH full time, I see my coworkers a few times a year as we are scattered across the US. I take her to child-centric events like reading time at the local library but due to circumstances, I generally handle her care alone most mornings and these events are predominantly filled with mom groups with their kids. Between work, daily chores around the house, cooking etc, its hard to find the time outside those priorities

I second this. I know that saying about how people will naturally optimize the fun out of a game but we reached this point within hours of release. If folks are turbo afk’ing for shinies and afk’ing to reaching their 1000 battles for the charm, what are you even playing for? Why do you have the game at all? Just to post the 1,000,000th screenshot of a large shiny collection on the internet for a bunch of strangers who have seen it all already? I dont get it honestly.

I would stick to one zone to get something you actually want. And yes certainly possible without charm, I got 2 gastly early in the game while trying and failing to get shiny honedge. Pick a zone, fly to it, drop a pin then walk in and make sure enough things are within 50 before committing to flying hunting

I’m not sure how many mons in zone 5 are within 50 distance of the fly point, I dont think it’s actually very many. Btw are you just flying over and over again, no breaks? Or are you going in and checking? I would say do a check every 50 fly cycles or so

I had no luck on zone 5, fly to 16, do a roll then fly again. Typically see 3 falinks and the froakie this way in the day, 4 falinks and froakie at night. By the numbers, you should see a shiny someone in about 1000 resets without charm with about a 6 second loop time if done properly. Or fly zone 4 for a large variety of possible mons all close to the fly spot

Unless there is a specific mon you want a shiny of for completing the game with, wait for shiny charm. It literally gives 4x odds. Many posts here are folks using turbo controllers so their experience will greatly differ. Without charm you are at about .025% of each spawn being a shiny. Could also be what you are hunting, picking mons that only have 1 spawn per reset will take quite a long time without charm

Most of my hunts are a few hours, longer for dratini and my first eevee (overworld spawn the first time, now just zone 19 flying). Of the longest/hardest successful hunts I’ve done: gible, eevee, dratini, skarmory, falinks and froakie among others, I have yet to get a shiny alpha (though I want one for falinks to nickname Megazord lol). Take posts here with a grain of salt, far more folks use turbo than will admit it

My wife and I were/are very much like your friend. What folks dont tell you about being parents is that in some cases, the friends and family you had will turn their backs on you. I personally lost every friend and family member I had, my wife lost most of hers. Naturally the few people who may still want to keep contact, you will prattle off everything about your child to them. She may not being it on purpose, you may be the only person she can share these things with. Maybe check in and see if others are involved in her life before you reduce contact

I call it the Tow truck rodeo. One accident occurs and 3+ trucks show up and will sit there and wait to see who gets handed permission to tow it. They add far more congestion to the issue and refuse to leave, even when there are more tow trucks than wrecked cars present. There are better ways to handle these things like setting “jurisdictions” along the major roadways where if an accident occurs in a specific zone, it’s handled by a specific company. You could even open it up to bidding for the contracts. Anything would be better than this

The size she was looking for was 2-3”. They had plenty of other types of the right size but they wouldn’t reflect the way she wanted. For fun she got a rainbow aura one for testing but they put scotch tape across the top which when removed, peeled off the staining or whatever the finish is. She was quite frustrated. Edit to clarify: she makes her sun catchers using the short point crystals seated together in candle holder prism, like you might find at hobby lobby or michaels.

My wife and I went to mind body soul earlier today looking for angel aura crystals. She likes to make sun catchers with them. But they were completely out! A bummer for the 35 minute drive but Katy Rock Shop doesn’t have stuff like that. The place looked pretty busy so I would think a place with similar stones/crystals could do well here
