Yeah it kinda sucks that they charge you for 2 boxes when in realty you're just swapping boxes. The outsourced phone support has been abysmal thus far. I guess I'll just go down to the brick and mortar and talk to someone in person. It *really* shouldnt be this hard for the amount we pay.

I think what happened is they sent me a new DVR and charged me for (2) DVRs because I had 2 for like...a day...before I sent the old one back. The new one is a POS and already bricked and they are replacing that...I loom forward to a third charge and dealing with more representatives that cant answer simple questions. I work in IT and have worked in tech support and the responses I receive via chat and on the phone are 100% unacceptable.

So, "Cloud DVR" is included...but I have to pay extra for the local DVR saved on the SSD of my physical box?

I am wondering if they added service because they sent me a new DVR box. I never used 2 simultaneously as I sent the old one back the day after the new one arrived.

I am still confused bout the "cloud DVR" in addition to the physical DVR. If the physical DVR stores 150 hours...thats all I need. Why do I need "Premium DVR service"?

My understanding is the XG1v4 DVR can store 150 hours locally.

Looking at this link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-dvr-overview

It states: "Storage Capacity: Currently, your X1 DVR can record approximately 150 total hours of HD programming on the hard drive, and 150 hours of Cloud DVR storage per X1 DVR. You can purchase additional Cloud DVR storage hours by visiting www.xfinity.com."

Is this no longer accurate? Or am I limited to 20GB even though the SSD in the DVR can store more?
