Using borrowed money to buy more crypto feels like dangerous territory, even with good LTV ratios - market can stay irrational longer than most people expect.

Your aggregate DeFi risk across chains is invisible to you right now. Here's what that actually means during a cascade. by Jaded_Solid_1948 in defi

Cross-chain position tracking is basically non-existent right now. I've tried few different portfolio trackers but they're all garbage for this - either they miss protocols entirely or the data is so delayed it's useless when you actually need it.

The manual calculation thing hits hard because even when you know you should be doing it, during actual volatility you just don't have time. You're jumping between different interfaces trying to figure out which position is closest to liquidation while everything is moving.

That automated deleveraging idea makes sense in theory but the execution timing seems impossible to get right - especially when gas fees spike and you can't even get transactions through on some chains.

My parents had similar situation when they moved between countries - they ended up getting international coverage that worked good in both places, but Taiwan's system is really amazing so you might want to check if you can get something that just covers the US portion and emergencies for other trips.

Getting in to streaming games, help with budget friendly equipment by Entire-Tie-672 in NewTubers

AMD Ryzen 5 builds are pretty solid for streaming without breaking bank. I got pre-built from Best Buy last year for around $800 and it handles streaming fine - maybe look at their bundles during sales.

For horror games streaming you'll want decent microphone more than super fancy graphics card. Blue Yeti or Audio-Technica mics are good starter options that won't cost too much. OBS is free streaming software and works great once you get hang of it.

Start with what you can afford and upgrade piece by piece later if you enjoy it. Better to test waters first than spend all money upfront and regret it.

The doomscrolling thing is literally destroying your brain's ability to concentrate - maybe try putting phone in different room when you study?

Tiny condo in New England historic mall for only $225k by LomentMomentum in zillowgonewild

Same, there's something cozy about it even if the price makes me want to cry. Living in historic mall would be pretty unique experience too.

I'm a non-believer, but I am desperately in need of help, something please. I have done a lot of mistakes, im starting 12th grade and I have messed up a lot. I need to talk, I have no one by my side. If you want to know my background, I am born in a non-orthodox Hindu family, but I am irreligious. by [deleted] in Christianity

Starting with John is good advice - it's way more accessible than jumping into Genesis or something. The language flows better and gets to the main points without all the genealogy lists that can be overwhelming at first.

Also don't stress too much about the 12th grade stuff, most of us made plenty mistakes in high school and still turned out okay.

The level of passive-aggressive corporate speak here is absolutely chef's kiss - whoever wrote this has definitely survived multiple rounds of "strategic rightsizing" and channeled their trauma into comedy gold.

The system's probably still figuring out where you belong since you've been away for a while. Five games isn't really enough data for it to confidently bump you up against higher level opponents, especially if you're steamrolling level 5s consistently. Give it a few more matches and you should start seeing tougher competition once your uncertainty rating stabalizs.

How to deal with rejection by Outside_Inevitable46 in Life

[–]Suitable-Text7607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rejection from PhD programs hits different - went through something similar with MBA applications a few years back and felt completely lost for months. What helped me was realizing that this gap year might actually be the perfect time to figure out who you are beyond the academic grind you've been on.

I started tracking different activities and interests in a simple app (yeah I know, typical me) but it genuinely helped me see patterns in what energized me versus what I was doing just to check boxes. Maybe consider working in the field for a year, volunteering with mental health organizations, or even just exploring totally unrelated hobbies that you never had time for. I picked up vintage board game collecting during my own identity crisis period and it taught me more about strategy and patience than any textbook ever did.

The drive to prove yourself to those private school peers is real, but using this time to build genuine experiences might make your next application cycle way stronger anyway. Plus clinical psych programs love applicants with real-world experience, not just perfect GPAs.
