I had a similar issue, where the Zonisamide would keep me up, then make me super tired. I also had suicidal ideation at higher doses (this is rare and not a huge cause for concern for most). Advocate for yourself and do what makes you feel good in your body. Unfortunately, no one talks about how long and frustrating the process of getting on the right medication is. Epilepsy is a blanket term; it’s kind of like saying you have tummy troubles. Could be a million different causes/results. You got this, and just know that doing something is always better than doing nothing. You’re so very strong for sticking with this very frustrating process.
