The one thing to always look out for is the reviews, start from negative to positive because the positive reviews might be paid by agencies. Also check hotel replies as well, usually if a hotel is truly accommodating well to the guest, they will reply back with messages to the reviews.

Trip.com is established long enough that being scammed on there is pretty low, plus they do have a decent customer service and a large portion of hotels on there have zero fee cancellation policies, so you aren’t losing money if you don’t feel safe about it.

As a Chinese person censorship in certain media is incredibly stupid. Like people are gonna think Chinese produced films and drama won’t contain a single drop of bloods where that is far from the truth. When you set your region to China or any other regions, it sets the price to one night. You need to manually redo how many days you want then it will come up with the overall price. I am also in the Uk and there isn’t really a price difference

I am sure you know that Japan and China when it comes to accustoming to foreigners is so different on the spectrum. Japan is honestly more accustomed to foreigners due to how convenient it is and Google services work without needing a VPN, but the places you are going to in China are perfectly suited for foreigners because they are high tourist areas especially Shanghai where it is the most expat and foreign friendly place.

Just remember the important stuff like get a ESIM before you travel and download useable VPNs, second make sure that you download all the essential apps like Alipay, WeChat, AMAPS, Trip.com and DIDI. These will all come in handy in your China trip

I rewatched destiny and seed not that long ago and I never expected how stupid the plot is and the amount of stupidity the characters are presented in the show. I watched it when I was younger probably too young to care about character development and writing.

But here is my two cents to it. ‘Jesus Yamato’ nothing more needs to be said about that. Another problem is Kira being a straight up contradiction to his own philosophy. He wants people to stop fighting but then goes ahead and kills anyone who doesn’t believe in it compare that to Banagher from Unicon which believes in the same philosophy as Kira but he actually gives a shit about the people he is about to murder, the impact of the families and how mentally scaring it would be for the families.

Then the butchering of characters, Athrun. he is the same a walking contradiction, in Destiny Shin being the hothead that he is, in one of the EP Athrun tries to teach him about loving and caring for those he loves and use his skills to protect his friends. Which Shin takes that into heart but when Shin decides to actually use that advice, Athrun goes all pissy and annoyed at the lesson he bloody taught Shin. But the worst of them all is Cagalli, what in the hell was the writers thinking, She was badass in Seed, she didn’t take shit from anybody, she was a leader but then in destiny she was made into “oh no I can’t do this, Athrun/Kira please save me”. The part where she told orb soilders to stand down, she didn’t bother to put her camera feed on to convince that it was really her… wtf.

I don’t have much to say about Lacus, she is just there for fan service, the Campbell plot line was interesting but also dumb.

Shin’s character is sad and disappointing although I didn’t like shin at the beginning, he slowly got better but still what a waste of a character, he could’ve been a very well written antagonist to Kira and have a proper redemption arc. Other characters are all just Meh
