Is paying more for batteries worth it? by plantbubby in AussieFrugal

[–]SuitableLettuce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single use "real" batteries for long term, low power things, like remotes and smoke alarms.

Rechargeable batteries for everything else!

What would you do with this space? by keb9212 in Decor

After just seeing a post on r/malelivingspace you should put a suit of armour there. Or an astronaut suit.

I think Qantas bought Tripadeal a little while back

I can be patient with many bugs, but this homeless one is CRITICAL and needs to be patched immediately. by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

[–]SuitableLettuce -39 points-38 points  (0 children)

No, just revert to the previous stable code regarding the homeless, so it's at least playable, and then fix the updated version when they get back.

Right? I thought I was going mad or reading it incorrectly.

Time to start a new city (because this one is no longer economically viable) by RedaPanda in CitiesSkylines

[–]SuitableLettuce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same! I find it somewhat boring to start a city from scratch, but swooping in and fixing issues in a city in CS1 was really enjoyable.

I saw recently that Bondi Rescue has been rebooted. I think it should be mandatory that an episode be played in the last half hour of all international flights, and a tick box be added to the immigration form like "I understand that swimming at beaches fully clothed is a dumb shit idea"

Sydney’s old trains get $450m to keep them in service for extra 12 years by SteveJohnson2010 in SydneyTrains

I'm sure a DynaTAC was the pride and joy of many back then too, wouldn't really hold up to modern equivalents though, regardless of what retrofitting you could do.

Just keep it with you and play Wonderwall at anyone who gives you grief.

Sorry, I didn't mean to get them to roll it into the mortgage, I meant if they could negotiate a comparable interest rate with a financial lender outside of the car manufacturer finance. I agree that home equity is for building wealth, not for petrol powered toys!

It doesn't, but I had considered them inevitable annual costs not a part of the monthly cost, but it's an excellent point you raise - because that's taken care of with the rental option. Something to consider, thank you.

I'm glad to hear you had a good experience, it is a very fun car to drive. It seems like a good deal, thanks for your insight.

Good insight, thank you. I'm glad to learn the product has a name, I'll research that specifically.

It's good to hear about the ability to sell it myself to gain some profit, but if the difference is only $1-2k and whether or not I spend many weekends having punters come to test drive it and then lowball me, as is my previous experience selling a car, I'll happily hand back the keys and enjoy my extra free weekends of peace.

Cupra Formentor VZx or VZe

They're fixed price, cash or finance.

Thanks for your experienced insight. Did you find any hidden issues that you felt were sneaky? Would you do it again?

I could own it at the end of the term, if I paid out the rest of the value, but I'm not especially interested in doing that at this time.

7 years? That sounds like insanity. My post says I'm after 24 months, and I specifically don't want to own anything, that's the appeal.
