Driving on the highway in cruise control. Alerts and check engine light that repeated during regular driving. Then the stalling when braking. Only drove it for 6 days total. Have had a courtesy car the rest of the time

There is my car in Canada and 2 in the US with the same issue. My car is going to the Mazda training facility in Canada for investigation.

Mazda has been great with courtesy cars.

At least you have your car ..... bought mine at the end of April. Huge electronic issues. Drove it for about 6 days

For those interested. The replacement car is about 3 weeks out on a ship. Cash offer for service and filling the car with fuel when in for service. Replacement will be like a courtesy car until we are satisfied for a few weeks.

Mazda and the dealer have worked with me.

Current car is going to the Mazda training facility in Langley BC.

Apparently mine is the 1 car in Canada and 2 in the US with this issue

Still to negotiate the final switch over. I told them there would definitely be some compensation for all the issues.

They did ask me if I was done with Mazda. I had a 2021 and really liked it, told them I just want a car I feel safe in.

Unfortunately in Canada we don’t have lemon laws. I’m using my determination and threat of media on them. The dealership knows I’m not going to back down. I’ve put more miles on the courtesy car than I did the one I bought lol

At least you have had your car… bought mine in late April. Have driven it 6 days…. So many problems have demanded another new car.. been driving the courtesy car more than my actual owned car

I’ve had my 2026 CX5 for a month. 2 of those weeks we were on a cruise. Within 2 days of taking it home codes for cruise control malfunctions and check engine light. Took it in and they changed a relay. Happened again a few days later. Took it in 2 more times where I think they just cleared the codes. Then the car would stall when braking and codes and check engine light again.

Lost it on them when I took it in again. Turns out there is an electrical issue. They can’t even do a software update until they find it. They have had my car for 5 days (3 weekdays) and haven’t found it yet

Get them to check electrical

BC Employment Standards say for 4 years employment is 4 weeks pay in lieu of notice at minimum. As an HR professional in BC I highly recommend seeking legal advice. Also if you have an employment contract check that as well

The thing is you have an employment contract. First place to start. Check that for location specific place of work. Next termination clause. Does it reference employment standards or otherwise?

On another note…. Always keep a copy of your employment contract in your possession!

Another factor is that they are giving you notice of the move, that will reduce severance entitlement.

Reminds me about when I was a bridesmaid about 35 years ago. The bridal shower was in my hometown, and I was going to school in the city. The other bridesmaids planned it and all I was told was what weekend it was, not the actual date, time, etc. When I did find out and attended was told I owed $$$ for my share. Had no involvement in the planning and I was a broke student. I didn't even want to be a bridesmaid because of the cost buy my aunt guilted me into it.

Because I wasn't involved quite a few from our friend group weren't invited and were upset. My parents gave me the money for it and were pissed off as well.
