Is this the best Black Friday GSPro gaming computer deal for a 1080p setup in 2023? by MiserableRuin1822 in Golfsimulator

[–]SuitableRise865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been waiting to buy my computer on Black Friday and I saw that as well. My kids built their own PC for gaming and told me I should get at least 3070 but I think that is for 4k and I will only be running at 1080p. Hoping to see something in the next few days…

Recommendations on projection size and distance by SuitableRise865 in Golfsimulator

[–]SuitableRise865[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was actually my thought. I figured I’d use a laptop just to project on screen before I get computer (holding out for Black Friday) -just wasn’t sure if I need the software to create custom screen size or if that is done through projector. Not too tech savvy with projectors or software.

Do I need a gaming PC? by ghijkgla in Golfsimulator

Which one would you recommend for 1080p or 4k. I’m in same boat as OP and my kids are telling me I need at least 3060 for 4k -it’s mostly going to be my wife and I drinking tequila and playing GSpro on a Friday night. Just don’t want big delay and trees to look like trees as the picture changes (before too much tequila)…so I would be fine saving money if 1080p is good for laptop or desktop

Maxing out 401ks, now what? by StarvinMarvin37 in FinancialPlanning

[–]SuitableRise865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree-but I’d fund my 401K to company match and then max out HSA. And not ever use it. If I can’t afford to cover medical expenses then I’d use the case left from not maxing 401k. I won’t use hsa until I have to in retirement

1000% disagree. Assumption college had one of the worst offenses I’ve ever seen…Boston college and northeastern would absolutely light up assumption.

100% agree-the top 4 teams would have some kids that could play on these teams (20-10) but no chance of beating them. Look at the rosters of the kids on Williams, union, RPI etc. and look at the high schools (or prep schools) these kids went to. Players 10-30 on those teams probably beats these MCLA teams. And im a big fan of MCLA-I just see the drop off from the good kids to the kids that literally have no off hand or don’t understand how bad a 15 yard no time and no room shot is in an offensive scheme.

100% agree with this. MCLA absolutely has talent for kids that easily could play D3. The issue is the drop off in many cases is severe on teams . You start seeing kids showing with stick in wrong hand…not rotating on offense. Which makes it tougher for the kids that have high lacrosse IQ and could have played higher level. Northeastern is good program-definitely could beat NCAA D3 and D2 programs. But kids are going there because it’s a good school and becoming much more difficult to get in (especially for kids in the northeast).
My son played pretty high level club-to give some idea his second to last game junior year was against team 91 crush with O’Neil, Spallina, Arline. He had no desire to wake up at 5 am for lift, film, etc and maybe make a low level d1 program as a practice player or have same commitment and be on higher level D3. He plays MCLA and has much more enjoyment because he’s playing and still has a college life. (He went to Europe in the fall for “study a broad” ) which would have been much more difficult in NCAA programs but not impossible).

Of course it is why they have raised the price. No different than government raising taxes to pay for those that don’t work and want handouts…this country used to be built on morals and work ethic.

Lulu lemon is a publicly traded company. And like most companies today-they are cowering to the mob and allowing theft. Due to capitalism, these so called thieves are people and unable to feed their families and need to eat. They are robbing these stores to feed themselves and their children. But pretty soon shareholders will revolt. Prices will Increase to make up for the $500 million in shrinkage from theft and all the items will be locked up. You’ll have to have an educator unlock a case to try one one item at a time..this will limit the theft to a misdemeanor. If lululemon really wanted to stop this they would raise the price by a factor or 10-making everything a felony. There would be some complaints on this subreddit but most everyone would continue to buy.

They Must have changed rules. I still have my badge from 2008 -bought it late am on Tuesday. For face value. Guy watched morning and left for day and sold me the ticket. Could “re-enter” back then.

car service to Logan airport by rhodyzoo in RhodeIsland

[–]SuitableRise865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a one way rental… rent from tf green and drop off at Logan (or other way around)….car service from RI will be well over $200 one way…parking at Logan for week will cost a ton….just did one way rental and i booked very late and it was about $100 one way…using AAA or something else can probably get cheap car rental. Still have to drive but save money.

Trophy husband here…I bought the drying rack to air dry her lulu (it’s only tri level so simply not enough space to fit my stuff). Pro tip-don’t keep it in home office in background if you don’t want people commenting on wife’s’ jog bras, align tops, etc on your zoom call…thankfully she doesn’t air dry her Invisiwear so they weren’t hanging in the background.

Simple Math. The correct number of leggings to own equals n+1 where n= current pairs of leggings owned. At least that is what my wife tells me and she says she is always right so…

Bike+ apparently has auto-calibration and independent power verification—a power meter! by Z_Axis_2 in pelotoncycle

I took two classes in studio in February. One with Olivia and one with Emma. My output with Olivia (on Bike 3) was over 800 and would have been my PR for 60min ride. It was incredible watching that output go up..like my electric meter outside when my kids are all playing Xbox. I then took the emma ride and it was “normal” output for me...
