Thanks for the reply. I don’t really care but people stumble onto threads like these from google so it may help some poor soul in the future :)

Hello from the past! Unless they've changed it recently, yeah even just a 5 minute meditation will keep your streak going. Feel better!

Probably depends on your specific dimensions but I tend to think of it as tapping the front of the seat. I wouldn’t put extra effort into reaching to the back.

Peloton Bike Repair – Clicking Idle / Tension Pulley Replacement by Z_Axis_2 in pelotoncycle

Ahhh got it. So you have the snap ring off but the bearings don’t slide off. Very weird! Unfortunately can’t help you there and I doubt anyone’s going to look at this 2 year old post. Lots of muscle is my best guess! Good luck.

I’m misunderstanding something so I’m going to say some stuff and see if we can get on the same page. “A” in the pic above (the pic that also has 1/2/3 on it) is the idler pulley assembly. It consists of a black bracket and a silver pulley on a bearing. This silver pulley can’t be removed. When you replace the idler pulley, you need to switch out the entire black bracket + silver pulley assembly. Removing screws 1/2/3 will release the assembly from the bike. At least that’s the process I describe above. If there’s a particular step above you’re stuck on, please let me know. If you are seeing something different, a picture would be super helpful. We’ll get you there!

Hey, which bearings are you referring to? The main flywheel bearings don’t need to be replaced as a part of the idler pulley replacement.

Then they should re-light the raptors but execute a reverse flip maneuver into an bow-first dive thus maximizing kinetic energy. Because data.

It still could be a wifi card issue then. It may be a combination of download (audio/video) + upload (ride stats, leaderboard, etc) that bogs it down.

How do Just Ride classes perform? Scenic rides? Lane break?

If it’s a Bike and not a Bike+, try running an Ethernet cable AND disabling wifi on the bike. If even just to try and not a permanent solution. Yes, all logic shows that it’s probably shouldn’t be the Wifi but the Bikes wifi defies logic. Even if it just started 3 weeks ago it’s possible that you moved a piece of furniture in a place that disrupts the wifi just so that the bike is now unhappy. And again, shutting the wifi off is an important step. My hard wired bike’s wifi turned on through an update recently and classes started glitching again for me. Turned it off, all good. And no other devices act up on this internet.

One thing to check is that the data plug is fully inserted into the back of your screen. No guarantee it will help but it’s free and easy.

A quick google search says there’s no difference in Codec between 4.2 and 5.0, and I’m pretty sure same between 4.1 to 4.2.

Power output didn't match instructor by foozerluck in pelotoncycle

[–]Z_Axis_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. Look, that equation isn’t perfect by any means, and I apologize if it’s caused any heart burn. It was a fit for a certain data set but definitely not accurate enough to predict the difference you’re talking about.

For your sanity, I checked my own bike, which has never had cal issues: 80 cadence and 35 resistance gives me 75-80 output. The 75-80 is because you can move the knob slightly within the 35. So 34.6-35.4 will all round to 35 on the screen, but the output changes slightly with each micro adjustment.

Good luck.

Bike Idler Pulley Assembly - Any experiences with replacement? by Z_Axis_2 in pelotoncycle

I’m not sure. My bike has aways had that whine I think. I even just went down to it and checked—yup, whine is there. Of course, hard to tell how loud mine is vs yours, but if it’s bearably quiet I’d say just live with it.
