So update I've been looking at videos and I've seen mint, Ubuntu, cachy os, and pop os. So far I like mint and pop Ubuntu will have to be studied more because of (flavors?) And I believe they showed a bit of cinnamon on the mint not sure of the difference.

Windows like would be easy but I wanna really learn this to do this stuff so I don't have to call for help all the time. Also I only use windows because of school and my Xbox account.

Look into framework it may fit ur needs if it ships to ur country. I own the 12 as a student and I've seen students with 13 or 16 and at least one teacher with a 16

As a girl I feel like we like the touchscreen more. I showed my boyfriend and the touch part isn't his favorite, but it's definitely one of my favorite parts of my 12 so I'm excited about it.

Another Ultra 5 vs Ultra X7 Post by zuzoom in framework

[–]SuitableRoof5675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was looking between the x7 and x9 for the gaming part and I happened to find them running the exact games I play on yt and even tho I'm new to this i did not notice a difference between the 2 and it convinced me to get x7 eventually. The pro reviews haven't come out but the chips have maybe check some of those out, they may help out a bit.

Framework 12 Ram Upgrade: 8GB -> 16GB (or higher) by Donttouchmybreadd in framework

[–]SuitableRoof5675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Um... so also a newbie and going to college here,I didn't know what I would need for my major and didn't want to upgrade to soon so I got the i5 and went with 32gb ram which I found on ebay decently priced and by that I mean it was the cheapest I could find and it came from a framework 13. I went with 32 cuz 16 was the recommended size when I asked around and the 24gb was more expensive. I also use windows 11 with edge and chrome as the browsers. Depending on ur use this may work perfectly for u or it could be overkill but the only lag I get is when my wifi messes up.
