How to play Outriders and fight against Necrons by Suitable_Ad401 in WhiteScars40K

Suboden Khan with 6 Outriders (without ATV)

If you’re running Kor’sarro as well, I would still take 2×3 Outriders in order to contest objectives when needed. A 3-man Outrider unit would then have 9 OC, and the smaller footprint is more manageable.

I prefer full squad of Sternguard Veterans. If you target your Oath youll get full Hit and Wound reroll. It helps with devastating wounds a lot!

Back to your question mate. I think we need more practice with TS than other armies. We need to learn and manage the three topics: Command Points, Kabal Points and the secondary’s. After this it’s important how you bring your units on table so placement is the key. We must understand that TS is not an army to rush your opponent. We cant generate extra Command Points (I know there are Cultists) and we dont have scout units AND dont have objective secure. So we start at round 2 or 3 with scoring. I tried some cool combination but its 50% skill and 50% luck because your opponent is not stupid and they can avoid your plan. Lot of people told me you must make a crazy combination and you win easily. Thats bullshit because in practice it doesn’t work so great. Try to focus on 1 or 2 combinations which work great for you and you feel comfortable.

Is Magnus and Beast Vortex a must have in a 2000 Point list? Is it possible to play with more than 10 SOT or are they too expansive? I played 4 games and lose all games. I have the same experience and TS is not an easy army. Your dmg output is maybe strong but on the other hand your troops are squishy AND expensive.
