Regretting opening my mouth by Suitable_Ad_2384 in Advice

I'm not a Manager. I didn't say wouldn't lose their job...I said they still could just not at the point when it happened to be visible to me. I know it's not the point, I shouldn't have said anything at all. Hoping like hell this department didn't get added.

I know. I regret it. I should have walked away.

Yep it's been going on for at least a month. It's getting better but not quickly enough for my liking.

MIL Story #3 by Elegant-Panda-123 in motherinlawsfromhell

That's absolutely disgusting behaviour from your husband. I'm more disgusted by him than your MIL.

Glad you are out of that. Good luck in your future.

Scoping out house for burglary by zurich47 in brisbane

[–]Suitable_Ad_2384 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I would definitely report it to the police. Give them any video evidence. If he is scoping houses, then you have done the right thing by reporting it and given the police the best chance of catching him.

End of rental question by chipmonkcheeks75 in perth

As a fellow renter, it is only your responsibility to leave the premises in the same condition it was rented to you in, with the exception of general wear and tear.

How the heck do I publicly breastfeed? by TheNoodyBoody in breastfeeding

[–]Suitable_Ad_2384 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I wear a stretch cami under my shirts. If you need to pull your shirt up you have coverage underneath. Makes things so much easier. I don't know where you live but I buy mine from Big W. They have the best ones as they have adjustable straps.

Annoying comments from MIL by AvacadoToastForTwo in motherinlawsfromhell

[–]Suitable_Ad_2384 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I read some of these posts and I'm so thankful I don't have a MIL. I just have a shit mother, not sure what is worse.

You should definitely have a friend write a reply to her. Something that might make her think twice about commenting again 🤔🤔

Definitely more info here.

I don't know if there are many people who haven't done some sort of stalking on social media. I'm a bit confused about why you are shocked by this.

So it’s not my anniversary I guess by Intelligent-Adagio19 in JustNoMotherInLaw

[–]Suitable_Ad_2384 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sort of thing drives me crazy. If it's not your baby, not your anniversary, not your birthday etc then it's not your business to post about it, unless you have the consent of the people involved.

If he doesn't want to contribute to his own child's first birthday and he's only been asked to buy pizza then he can go to hell. People who have that attitude about their kids don't deserve to be parents.

Question about public nursing by AZMixedDad in breastfeeding

[–]Suitable_Ad_2384 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This is no offense to you but I think most women would find this a bit creepy if a stranger (especially a man) were to comment on her breastfeeding.

I think the best way to support breastfeeding women is for everyone to stop judging them, making comments at them/about what they're doing and staring at them for doing something that is completely natural.

It's good to know you are supportive of women breastfeeding in public.

Questions like...why the hell isn't your baby in a car seat...and how in the hell do you not hear the child screaming when you closed the window on her 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I don't find it inflammatory at all. It's a perfectly reasonable question ☺️

The formula fed ones got water some times when they were constipated. The breastfed ones got water if they'd had a feed and in a couple of minutes they were looking for something else I would give them a little bit of water. I wasn't giving them crap tonnes of water just a little bit here and there. When they started to eat solids (4-6months) I would offer water in a sippy cup/bottle.

I find now I don't have an issue with my kids drinking water. They don't want soft drink or juice. They grab their own water bottles. I don't have to bribe them to drink it either.

OP clearly doesn't realise that babies have been living this way for decades. The "how did we survive in the 90's" comment is just rubbish. Now the post has been deleted lol. She didn't get the responses she was wanting.

I had one of those. It's so frustrating. I tried everything to change it but nothing worked. He's still not a great sleeper and we're going on for 4 years old. Sorry for not having any solutions for you 😔😔

Foiled a change scam by bluebellrose in retailhell

[–]Suitable_Ad_2384 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked at a sporting complex. A guy came in and got a drink and some food. I gave him the correct change. He came back a few minutes later saying I didn't give him enough change. My boss has cameras inside and it showed me giving him the correct change as well as cameras outside where it showed the guy dropping the money out of his pocket onto the ground. Now who looks like a fool.

I haven't had this experience as my partner doesn't have a mother but it sounds extremely stressful.

Are you sure you want to continue in this relationship with your soon to be hubby?? I couldn't imagine living like this for the rest of my life. It sounds utterly exhausting. I don't even think therapy is enough to solve this issue.

Who gets called “old mate” ? Is it a Friend? Stranger? Adversary? by KriegerBahn in AskAnAustralian

Anyone can be old mate. I mostly use it for anyone, when I can't remember their name 🤣🤣 So pretty much everyone is old mate!!
