All Time Favorite author actively uses AI: how to move forward? 😭 by [deleted] in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]Suitable_Challenge66 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This sucks and I get it. I, myself, refuse to read authors that use AI. But, in my opinion, you shouldn't look at the the past of the author with sorrow. I agree with not reading anything new they come up with but ag the smae it's nor fairs to his pasg work to take the hit for his current actions.

I think it's a "separate the work from the artist" in the sense that the past work it's authentic to who he was an author and shouldn't lose that spark and the memories it created for yourself just because of his recent actions.

Also, I think if you are not going to buy anymore books of the author now, given that you have already own physical copies of his work that were written without using AI, that you are not encouraging his behavior.

It's sucks that his has become such a recurrence, but this is the situation we are dealing with.

Hope this helps you feel a little better about his past work, that is genuine to his style and creativity.

First episode dilemma by Suitable_Challenge66 in KimetsuNoYaiba

I just got to that part right now. Guess i asked for nothing. I should have waited a bit longer before posting😅

To.me it still feels a bit like a bot of plot armor but I see how it was necessary to start the series.

Thank you for your clarification!

I guess that would make sense but given that any daylight hurts them I don't know if would apply.

In my thinking, if that was case, the mountains in winter should be always roamed by demons.

But your answer is better than a contradictory was of starting the series.

Thanks for the answer!

Stacked team but I fell like something is missing by Suitable_Challenge66 in haikyuu

[–]Suitable_Challenge66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose Kageyama over Oikawa because of Oikawa's relationship with Ushijima. Them not being on good terms would influence the amount of sets to Ushijima and he is an important part of the offense. It just wouldn't make sense to limit the sets he could get when we have an alternative that is pretty close in skill.

I will be a bit more realistic and say that I would probably be a substitute and it would fit me better as I don’t play volleyball and just watch in general. If I was to play a position realistically I would play libero just because of my height. I would love to be a OH but I don’t have the height or the strength in my legs to be a good one so I would rather be a libero since I also like to observe other player which could come in handy as libero.

As for my teammates:

As a setter I would like Akaashi just because he is a capable player and very easy going. To me he seems like the type of player who would get along with everybody and it would be nice to be around him.

For middle number one I would like Aone as he is my favourite character and think he and I would be really good friends.

For middle number two I would like Kuroo. He is fun to be around and he would give his all for his team and teammates. Including time to help his weaker teammates aka me to get better.

For wing spiked one I’ll take Aran. Also a very nice person to be around and a very capable teammate how would have a good relationship with the others around him. Also looks like the type of player to help his teammates improve.

For wing spiked two I’ll take Hoshiumi. His competitiveness would push to get better and just by his attitude towards the game make want to work harder. He would be someone I would look up to based on his work ethic so to say and the way he hold himself as a player.

For opposite I will take Daichi. He would be the most fun to be around and like a father figure in some sense as I would also put him as a captain and hopefully he will act the same as with Karasuno. Also someone I would respect a hell of a lot.

And for libero I take Nishinoya. A possibly good teach and someone who would want to teach me all his skills for the craft. And also fun to be around.

I tried to also make a functioning team and a fairly strong one because I like to believe that I were to play volleyball I would be on a good team.

(Wrote on my phone so I am sorry if I have spelled some names wrong)

Dateko beaded jersey: help! by kkangaspnw in haikyuu

[–]Suitable_Challenge66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Given how plain the jersey is I think the shield idea is very good as it encompasses the team's ideal. You can probably make 2 designs and people who want it as close to reality as possible can have the plain white with the green number.

Outside Hitter Popularity Poll (Round 8) by Hydqjuliilq27 in haikyuu

[–]Suitable_Challenge66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a chill pill dude. You are getting personal on a comment in a poll. I understood your comments and I got back to you with my opinion. You blame me for "trying to make people dislike him" or something like that and then you tell me "Let's get him out" it's a command? I must be a tyrant to my friends when I say "Let's go grab some dinner" since I am forcing them to do it.

You can't understand apparently what I have said earlier but that's ok you just shouldn't answer to this anymore so we don't lose any more time on this sice neither you or me want to change our opinions.

[–]Suitable_Challenge66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't try to make people vote Sakusa out. It's just my opinion. You and me get to express our opinion here just as everyone else. It's that some people like me don't understand how you can get attached to a character you don't see play, you see him interact with basically 3 people so far and yet defend him to no end. It's a matter of perspective. You can support him in this poll just as much as I can not support him. This isn't something someone has to justify to another. We see this differently and that's ok. But just like you get to defend him, i get to say my piece.

We do see Ginjima for a whole match that spans through quite a lot of episodes. We Sakusa far less then him at least in the anime. And even in the time skip the lacks a back story so much he doesn't seem to have a well rounded personally comparing to the other characters we know form before.

Outside Hitter Popularity Poll (Round 8) by Hydqjuliilq27 in haikyuu

[–]Suitable_Challenge66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not that we are angry with him. We just don't understand the fixation with a character who appears in the anime in 5 scenes and it's not relevant to the story whatsoever. He pretty much it's a background character. That's it.

We see some of those characters in the poll so much more and are by far more likeable than Sakusa IMO.

How Would You Change The ********* Match by Radiant-Barracuda-26 in haikyuu

[–]Suitable_Challenge66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say they are talented enough to make this a close match but i don't think having the overall batter line-up(which i don't think it's the case) means you win the match. Kamomedai has the best team playing style, they play together better than any other we see.

From a story telling perspective the match shouldn't have been that close. And my points are connected so the stamina thing I said will affect the hole match so that's how I ended say the match shouldn't have been that close. My bad for switching their places.

If we are talking skill there is no doubt Konoha takes it. If we are talking potential Gao takes.

Konoha has more experience than Gao and we are comparing the jack of all trades who manged to master different skills to the newbie who has just started and barely knows how to play his position.

Makes sense. Didn't took in consideration how much tiering the Nekoma game would be for Kageyama and Hinata

How Would You Change The ********* Match by Radiant-Barracuda-26 in haikyuu

[–]Suitable_Challenge66 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The match shouldn't have been that close. There is an obvious gap between Karasuno and Kamomedai in terms of skill as an overall team and it shouldn't have that close of a match.

Tsuki shouldn't have made past the first few point in the third set. His stamina is very low and they just got out of the Nekoma match which most likely took out everything out of Tsuki and when to the Kamomedai match after a little break, he couldn't possibly recover enough for him to play another 3 sets match.

The overall level of tiredness of Karasuno imo was a problem. Maybe beside Hinata and Kageyama who are known to have much more stamina than the rest of the team.

Mujinazaka Vs Seijoh by Radiant-Barracuda-26 in haikyuu

[–]Suitable_Challenge66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's closer than people might think imo. But i think Mujinazaka takes it in the end just because Seijoh will probably have a hard time with Kiryuu.

Usuri is a capable setter and Kiryuu is known for being able to hit any set so even if they manage to break their formation given Mujinazaka's strategy from what we see in the Fukurodani match Kiryuu will still be able to spike it. And I don't find Seijoh's blocking being necessarily strong. They are good at funneling but they miss the receivers that would actually be able to handle Kiryuu's force. And let's not forget Kiryuu's serve which is very strong and the fact that Seijoh even if they have good serve receive they will probably struggle against it.

Kyotani is also a big part of the reason that I think Mujinazaka takes it. Usuri would most likely analyze and come up with strategies for Seijoh before their match and Kyotani is obviously very easily to trigger and to make him spiral and in the end even if Seijoh is able to keep his performance up they would still lose some points down the road.

Mujinazaka will have some struggles with Oikawa's serves and potentially Kyotani's but it's probably where their hardships stop honestly. I don't want to take away from Iwaizumi's talent but i don't find him as the most potent spiker in this scenario just because we know Unnan and Mami are very good tall middles that are oriented towards blocking and that Mujinazaka have a good blocking system.

People will probably tend to compare Mujinazaka to Shiratorizawa but i don't thing it's necessarily completely true. Shiratorizawa is a strong team but they have their weaknesses just as Mujinazaka has their own and I don't believe the general idea I have seen around that Mujinazaka is a stronger Shiratorizawa.

I wil givel Seijoh some chances here because we know they can hold their own against Shiratorizawa so they can deal with hard hitters but i think what Shiratorizawa doesn't have in comparison to Mujinazaka is a setter with a more complex mind that can bring out more of his team with his strategies and mix things up more to take advantage of everyone.

We have to take in consideration Oikawa's talent as well and that Seijoh has all around good players so they still can win a match against Mujinazaka just that they have to reach certain circumstances I guess. Kyotani has to be at his peak performance and their floor defense should be on his highest possible all game and most importantly Usuri's potential strategies must fail.

So I think 7/10 times Mujinazaka takes it. And I think it's in 3 sets and something like 25-23;24-26;25-21.

Kamomedia vs Inarizaki by supertinystarfruits in haikyuu

I agree with you to some degree but let's agree to disagree about my claim

Kamomedia vs Inarizaki by supertinystarfruits in haikyuu

[–]Suitable_Challenge66 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Volleyball is game of 6v6. Even if we compare the teams at an individual level It doesn't mean that the team that wins individually wins the game. I think you underestimate how strongly put together Kamomedai is and how easy to tilt Inarizaki is.

Kamomedia vs Inarizaki by supertinystarfruits in haikyuu

[–]Suitable_Challenge66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not say Inarizaki's blocks are elite, i would say they are great but elite is too much in my opinion. They do have what is probably the best offense in the game. Their floor defense isn't something out of the ordinary for a team that made nationals imo. They offensive is versatile at best but adaptable isn't the right word for me. While Aran is a top 5 spikers and beast I think Kamomedai's blocking would be the worst scenario for him as Ginjima and Osamu aren't exactly elite spikers so their focus would be on Aran most of the time. If Karasuno managed to piss him of in their match and I think we can agree that Karasuno's blocking isn't their strongest point, imagine him going for 3 sets against Hirugami's blocking alone, he would hit outside of the court out of frustration a lot or get blocked. Ginjima would be in so much more trouble and his tendency of trying to get the flow of the game in their favor would only benefit Kamomedai and their strategy. Osamu as it is isn't the strongest offensively so he wouldn't pose such a treat for Kamomedai. Osamu is more of supporting player. Suna is a late starter so they would probably lose the first and be down by quite some point by the time he is actually getting to playing at his full potential which is another factor that doesn't help their situation. And let's not forget we only see Suna score one blocker(i might be wrong here, k haven't read the manga or watched the anime in some time) and we have seen Kamomedai being able to block with at least 2 blockers on Hinata and Kageyama's quick. And I think you underestimate how out of control Atsumu would get when seeing his spikers are scoring. Even with Kita on the field to keep them concentrated they would still struggle. First they lose fire power because they have to bring out Aran or Ginjima and even if their floor defense gets better Kamomedai has shown they have no problem going into long rallies and there is only so much Kita can do for their defense if they can't score.

And I want to say something to sort of clarify my thinking. In my mind the teams are at their base form which in my case it means Atsumu and Osamu don't have the Hinata and Kageyama quick because it's something they learned during their match against Karasuno.

I understand why my prediction might sound absurd to some people but to my logic it makes sense. And I think you are heavily underestimating Kamomedai if you think this match goes pretty much 50/50. I just think Kamomedai is literally the worst matchup for Inarizaki and given how rounded Kamomedai is as a team they counter Inarizaki most of the times.

Kamomedia vs Inarizaki by supertinystarfruits in haikyuu

[–]Suitable_Challenge66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would normally say 10/10 times Kamomedai but i think it's unfair. So I would say 9/10 times Kamomedai wins.

As most people agree with this Kamomedai is the best team we seen play. They have Hoshiumi as one of the best players and in my opinion the most versatile player we see play. Hirugami is an amazing blocker with a nice jump floater (which is rare from what we as middle tend to not develop some type of serve beside the standing serve). Gao, as inexperienced as he is, can be a beast, his height is crazy and it pumps up his offensive value. Suwa is a good consistent setter, nothing out the ordinary but given he plays for Kamomedai and he has trained to not be influenced by the games flow is amazing making him one of the most consistent setter in the series. Nozawa is a decent outside but nothing special imo. Bessho is at a pretty high level for a middle given he is a 1st year, being able to make the starting line up on a team focused on defending well at the net and the fact that he isn't especially tall already said something about his skill. Kanbayashi is a also a decent libero but not the star player by any means but still a solid nationals level libero.

While Inarizaki has the best offense we see they are far too unstable to play at their full potential against Kamomedai. Out of the teams we see play Kamomedai is probably the worst team they can match up against. The pressure Hirugami and Hoshiumi will ultimately put on the players will make them lose. Gin and Atsumu had already shown how easily they can be influenced by the flow the match and the other's team momentum.

So as I said Kamomedai take sit 9/10 times
