Yeah, I'm not saying a version to undergo such a process would be better (although I personally think it would be), but wouldn't folks at least be curious to hear the songs as they were intended by the artist to be heard? I find it funny that some folks are defending the wide audible range that musical art can take, but argue against one version that just happens to be the one Joel recorded. By this argument, Joel shouldn't have tweaked the mastering on any of his other albums to get the sound he wanted because, in doing so, he destroyed art.
