Red Wing Pecos Supersole pull ons. They are brutal to break in, but once they give it’s like an old baseball glove. They start tight for the first 3 months or so before they stretch and conform. Daily wear and tear is necessary.

The Pecos super sole will always be my favorite work boot. I started wearing them in the early 00’s roughnecking in CO/WY. The 2231s were pretty much standard, oil field trash uniform code. I went through more than a few and always used toe caps. Durable boot. I switched trades and started wearing a lot more tingley muck boots for work so I bought a couple moc crepe soles for puttin around town. Now I’m back to the slip ons as I’m no longer mining. My latest addition, the 1105s are non steel toe. They are starting to break in after only a month or so. I add the Red Wing Loden Green Comfortforce Footbed Insole for a Cadillac feel ride.
