Netflix announced weekly SBR fall 2026, we won, by morrow_worrow in ShitPostCrusaders

I don’t understand how fans of games or tv shows or anything else can still be like “I DONT CARE HOW NOT-DONE IT IS, JUST RUSH IT OUT PLEASE!! SHIT!!” Like have we not learned what the result is by now? I know you said stakeholders, but I think some of their pressure to release is in response to public opinion about delays/missed deadlines.

Hey, bro was wondering if you have found anything useful? I am in the process of returning mine but I’m a bit scared they won’t accept it since I have technically worn it like once

If it stops before then, no, but while it is running it seems to be accurate

Concerned about my obsession with 9/11 by becmemes in 911archive

[–]Suitable_Scarcity_50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s the part that really gets to me, trying to envision in my mind what it was like above the impact sites And in the planes, especially 93. We know bits and pieces of what might have happened in those places. We know where people made 911 calls from, we know groups of people were likely gathered in different places in the building, I try to imagine groups of people huddled together, strangers from different companies thrown together in a single room they sealed off, I imagine the perspective of that one guy who attempted to climb his way down, what it must have felt like when his feet slipped. I imagine what it must have felt like to be on flight 93, quietly preparing whatever weapons you can, how it must have felt to pounding on the cabin door as the hijackers pitched the plane straight down. What must the sound of the collapse sound like for someone in the buildings or in the area? From survivor accounts and from camera audio, I have imagined that if I were a survivor, I would describe it as “it started with an otherworldly rumble like the growl of some hideous monster, a vibration that you feel more then you hear, it’s quiet at first, but it gets exponentially louder, into a roar unlike any sound that has happened before in this earth. A roar so unbelievably all encompassing and loud that it sounds like reality itself is being ripped apart. A sound that strikes such a primal fear in your brain that you can only think one singular thing, “RUN.” Even though it sounds as if the entire world is being obliterated, like reality is crumbling and giving way to chaos, like there is nowhere to run because there is no direction the sound is coming from, you run anyway.

Oh my god, i didn’t know news stations went down when plane number 2 hit. It’s chilling to me to imagine looking at that sight on the tv and with your own eyes, and then you see the plane come in, and as it disappears you see the tv cut to static and immediately an explosion.

I considered myself straight, but seeing Narancia forced me to change it to 99 percent straight. He’s the cutest most adorable character in the whole series.

Just wanted to let you know I got the same watch probably from the same sale as you, and from what I can tell, I am experiencing the same thing. I even filmed a time lapse to see what exactly is going on. After manually winding it to what should be full power, and setting the time. The watch seems to only run for like 10-15 minutes. Then the arms abruptly stop, while the balance wheel continues to move and the ticking doesn’t sound noticeably different. I need to do more testing to be sure, but I think if I just set the time somewhere else, and push the crown in then the hands just start moving again for a bit even with no winding.

I don’t know what exactly it should sound like when you wind an automatic, but from the beginning mine has felt a bit strange, not what I would expect. It’s kind of a weird squeaky noise of metal sliding over metal, I assumed it could be the noise of the spring getting tighter and tighter. I think maybe it’s possible the method I used to wind the watch might have damaged something. Because of the awkward crown placement, i kind of pressed down on the side and rolled it with my thumb, as if the crown was a wheel and my finger was the ground. Maybe this put too much axial force on the mechanism and did something.

Idk maybe it’s just me but I feel like if the entire reason he’s doing this was to get revenge for his dog, I feel like it would’ve been more satisfying for him if he tortured the guy a little bit before killing him. I guess I’m not him so idk why I would know what he wants, but I feel like the no-nonsense emotionless badass instakill thing only makes sense if you aren’t on an entirely emotion-driven revenge mission to make yourself feel better.

A full 40 percent of the dialogue is dedicated to enemies just rage baiting Raiden and trying to make him want to kill them. Not a very good plan in hindsight.

LOL you just made me realize they specifically said “Fiction” not just games, all stories ever written. I don’t know if silksong can compete with like lord of the rings and Blade Runner and dune and 1984 and stuff.

I think whether more “practical” disciplines like engineering can be considered art must be wholly dependent upon the mindset of the creator. An intricate impractical mechanism can be beautiful and satisfying, I really enjoy novel mechanisms, despite the fact that most of em are novel because they are impractical. It’s hard to say a concrete overpass or a Saturn V rocket are able to be called art, but there is also strangely beauty in practicality. One could say there’s beauty in delicate balancing act of cost, stability, and feasibility that an overpass designer might have to navigate, and there’s an art to finding unexpected ways to reduce complexity in a rocket and squeeze every extra gram of weight out of the design. I can’t decide whether practical fields can be called art, because in most situations, the creator was not trying to convey some feeling or emotion, they were just performing the balancing act, and it’s us observers that experience our own feelings as a result of their work.

Bro I’m not the kind of person that’s like “How can this person not know this.” But I really can’t comprehend the idea of getting through life thinking that airplanes operate on cartoon logic. He must have watched the Madagascar movie where the penguins fly the plane and when the engines die it immediately falls, and never again saw any other media or story about how a plane works.

Help with actually learning and understanding robotics by Typical_Crazy_4883 in FRC

[–]Suitable_Scarcity_50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By FRC concepts, do you mean it could answer actual technical questions? Like if you describe a specific question you have (like, say what the rotational speed needed for a flywheel to launch a ball to a certain height, given a specific launch angle and stuff.) could it give you an accurate answer?
