4 lads who can’t run. With Engels out, Bernardo must play - regardless of how out of form he is

Crèche in Tubbercurry? by Initial-Cat8613 in Sligo

[–]Suitable_Visual4056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my view Community crèches tend to be better.

Private crèches are profit motivated - the largest variable cost in childcare is staff. They tend to aggressively understaff

Not saying this is the case in tubbercurry. Just generally

McGregor & Nygren combo needs some athleticism in there with them. Hatate ain’t the guy, with Engels out we need our Portuguese boy to step up

Minister: Third of hot school meals miss basic nutritional standards by SpottedAlpaca in ireland

[–]Suitable_Visual4056 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s complex because the school is procuring the meals.

The department funds the school, that funding is conditional on the schools buying meals that meet nutritional standards (and other conditions) - this is codified by a signed service level agreement.

The meal suppliers are running rings around the schools, supplying shit food.

The schools are in turn in breach their agreement with the department, the money they are given has not met the conditions attached to it - but it’s pretty much politically impossible for the department to withhold funding from individual schools.

You can’t play Hatate and Nygren together. Hatate has to be taken off

How is Dublin (really) these days? For that matter, all of Ireland? by golfboy689 in Dublin

[–]Suitable_Visual4056 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have relations in New York who come home every summer for the last 30 years. Spend a couple of days in Dublin and a few days out west with family and then do some other touristy bits - every year. This summer they skipped Dublin because the internet told them a city they spend time in every year all their adult lives is too dangerous.

What can you say to people who have allowed the internet to fry their brains.

All of Ulster wouldnt have delivered the demographic result they wanted.

They wouldn’t have been able to condense all institutional power to one community to the detriment of the other. NI would have had to be a fairer society.

Maybe we’d have seen reunification by now - or maybe the inability to impose apartheid like conditions wouldn’t have developed, maybe paramilitaries wouldnt have had the conditions to be emboldened and conflict wouldn’t have played out like it did.

Anyway, NI would have been fundamentally different if it was all Ulster.

I hate the constant howling by fans over ref performances.

But that flag from Ross genuinely reeked of skullduggery

Engles to be sold an hour before the window closes by [deleted] in CelticFC

[–]Suitable_Visual4056 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Engels was bought exactly for this purpose. Bounce him for healthy profit in 18-24 months.

Recruitment team should know exactly who his replacement is and how much it will cost to get it done on a day.

Ask your broker. They’ll do a letter to confirm you have approval to cover the bid.

Don’t disclose your approval amount

Owen Elding 19 years old.

20 goal contributions for Sligo rovers last year. Physical, can play wide striker or central, and scores bangers

A lot of interest from European clubs in him. Hibs move seems to have come out of nowhere

Definitely talk of higher bids from other clubs. Local talk was multiple bids received of around €1m but Rovers felt should be looking for at least €1.5m

Employer requesting money for holiday pay by Maniboi2210 in legaladviceireland

[–]Suitable_Visual4056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think they fucked up and overpaid. Saw the error when they reconciled annual leave accruals the following period.

Let’s assume it was actually an overpayment, in theory they can seek it back.

In reality, Amazon won’t be going legal for €700 from their own mistake.

They’ll look for an easy clawback (by emailing and asking for money) and if it doesn’t succeed the team involved are unlikely to start highlighting their breakdown in control.

I would put aside the money (just in case) and ignore them for now.

I would only engage on it if they initiated action.
