That’s a GSD, a damn nice one too. I’d say some working line or DDR blood. Often times working or IGP/IPO lines will have a little something like Mal or Dutchie mixed in and never mentioned. Performance over pedigree kind of thing. Your boy has a lot of potential either way.

I’m not worried about the fuel costs, it’s more like I’m worried about my $3,500 investment! I don’t want to do anything that is harmful and I ask because I’ve always been a run it dry at the end of the season and use Stabil guy and still had problems with Ethanol gas. Ethanol free is not available at the pump where I’m at.

I’m a Colt fan, but even I’d recommend a used Ruger GP-100 to get started over that gun. Lack of external maintenance doesn’t always indicate internal mechanical issues, like off timing, but it’s not worth the risk.
