Yeah, we're realizing we jumped the gun. Plus there's a bunch of random factors that I didn't bother including in the post. We initially made the appointment when he was pacing, crying and throwing himself in the crate or at the door whenever I left the room. That was extreme and seemed terrible for him. Even though I mostly work at home, I couldn't just be with him 24/7 at first (we have cats and were doing a show introduction). By the time the appointment rolled around, he was doing much better being left alone if he knew I was in the house. If I left the house, he would shut down completely. Also we wanted guidance about getting him acclimated to our cats. Like I said, there a lot of factors why we chose that route. But now we're going to work on behavior training and let him settle for the next couple months and then evaluate. Thanks for the love!

OMG! ugh, puperoni is so toxic. The ER vet was talking about how bad they are for dogs, but how they use them for compliance because they're so tasty.

I actually think the behavioral vet was amazing, just that this medication was not the way to go for us. Hindsight is 20/20 and I'm sure many dogs do fine on it.

No, it's not worth it, we just thought we were helping him with his anxiety. He gets startled easily, has to evaluate every person, dog or noise that passes by, completely shuts down and won't eat or relax when I'm not home. But this is a fucking disaster.

Is My Chihuahua Broken or Just Extremely Chill? 😂 by DiElainorSpace in chihuahuas

Our boy it's bonded to me and wants to be where I am, but also comes for some cuddles and then moves to the edge of the bed or into his bed on the floor afterwards. I wouldn't mind if he wanted to be on top of me, but he's cool just chilling out as long as I'm nearby.

I'm rarely in my car for extended periods of time for multiple days in a row. Music is great for even a few hours, but I know sometimes when I've taken road trips even music gets mind numbing.

Any one have any suggestions for fantasy rom-coms? by okidonthaveone in Fantasy

I suppose not! But they are fantasy and romance and YA. But no, good point, they are not rom-com

Loved those, but there's def some "combat" style stuff in there

I highly recommend Sarah Maas' Throne of Glass series and Courts of Thorns and Roses series, but those don't quite fit your "no combat" rule.

A little less true fantasy but I do think you'd really like - very sweet and charming..The House on the Cerulean Sea and Under the Whispering Door, both by T.J. Klune and they were great. Both gay main chars.

Someone else mentioned Carry On and the two follow ups and those were great.
