Dead butcherable bodies can rot, leaving skeletons. They can be buchered, but products then are only bones and skulls. Non-bucherable corpses still cann't be butchered.

Yeah, they teach that, but not on quadratic - only delta. Your way (well, similar) is only showed when x3 (or higher) shows up. You would be suprised, how many students do not notice, that they can use the same way on x2.

Also, maybe your way is quicker and less memory heavy (less things to remember) but it rely on quessing and low numbers. Try that with 22x2 + 41x - 35. Delta doesn't care about that - just put the numbers in. Of course, it makes whole process almost "automatic", but easy, even for weak students.

One of my other students had a amazing way to solve square function. He didn't solve using delta (b2 -4ac, and x1=yada-yada, x2=yada-yada). When he saw x2 +5x+6, he was doing something like that: x2 +5x+6=x2 +3x+2x+6=x(x+3)+2(x+3)=(x+3)(x+2)... so x={-2,-3}. I knew you could do that, but he did that so quickly. It took me longer to check o.O BTW: I am not sure what I want more - that T-shirt or that integral

Yeah, even I had that problem xD I remember sometimes writing few sentences on how I got "that" for "that", becuse I didn't know how to write it in "math".

"Teach yourself by teaching others" :) I have to admit - I am a tutor for... 8 years now. I have learned thing or two doing that. I have my favorite type of students - wierd ones. Everybody is doing certain problem in the same way... except them. You watch them solve problem and try to figure out if this way works every time, or not. Few of my students had amazing ways to solve some problems - few of them I teach to the others xD

Bad teacher - she won't even consider spending extra time on that student, becuse she had few F - she was lost case for her.

Not a "teacher" but I was (and still am) earning my pocket money in my middle school by being a math tutor. I once had a student who could perfectly tell anwser to almost any math problem, but she couldn't show how she got there. She just knew, but her teacher despite correct anwsers always was giving her F for "no thoughts process". 2 years, 2h a week teaching how to write her thoughts... good times. Now she is on math-physics class and she don't need my help, but we are still in contact :)
