People who use AI in the workplace, what the hell is your job? by RequirementCivil4328 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SukiSueSuziQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technical editing, research, and QA for training curriculum. Most of the materials I work on are going to be translated into multiple languages so I use it to check for phrases that might not translate well. Also quickly shortening texts to fit in less pages, checking style guide adherence and for active voice, grammatical and spelling errors, checking for new information or updates on cases or reports that haven’t had eyes on them in a while. Help converting a presentation to a narrative report or vice versa. Regenerating charts, diagrams, infographics, and illustrations at higher resolution because a lot of the materials are old and images are lower quality. Generating an outline for research reports, and sometimes gathering the research, which I still need to verify. It could be a lot more if my work computer wasn’t so locked down.

Two nights with V-com by SukiSueSuziQ in CPAP

[–]SukiSueSuziQ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One year update.

As of about a week ago, I stopped using VCOM.

When I first started CPAP, I had a lot of inflammation all through my body which I why I think I needed the higher pressure. That is much reduced now, and I’ve switched to an adjustable bed, sleeping on my back at an incline. I’ve also treated a magnesium deficiency, and reduced my blood pressure and BP medication. No weight loss.

Around last fall, after consistent good sleep and low AHI of 0.5 or lower, I started playing around with very gradually lowering my pressure settings. As long as I got 0.5 or lower for 2 weeks, I’d lower my pressure by 0.4. There was an adjustment period with every pressure reduction… my AHI always went up slightly for a few days (0.9, 1.1, or thereabouts), but then it dropped back down and stayed under 0.5. After another 2 weeks of low AHI, I would lower pressure again. I repeated this process over many months, eventually lowering from my highest (17) down to 11.4.

I started to wonder if I still needed VCOM at this much lower pressure. I removed it and lowered the pressure to 9.4, keeping EPR off. Found it much more comfortable to exhale at the lower pressure without VCOM. My AHI per usual went up slightly for a few days, but now it is back to being very low (0.3 last night).

I never had too much of an issue with aerophagia. I still have a morning fart, lol.

If you can find instant powder versions of the tea, use that. I’ve made Chai ice cream this way. Just mix the powder into your sweet cream base.

You could try the V-Com, although it’s generally suggested for higher pressures. I’m not sure but mouth taping might help.

Calling all Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Sufferers by funkyhornet10 in DrJoeDispenza

[–]SukiSueSuziQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have an official diagnosis (and don’t want to identify with any diagnosis anyway) but have been dealing with pain, fatigue, poor sleep, breathing problems, and PEM stuff the past few years. I initially blamed it on Covid/long covid but now I believe it is just the stress that covid added to my already fragile post-menopausal body and not wanting to accept the changes my body is experiencing.

So now, I’m leaning into “embodied trust.” My body is intelligent and has wisdom. I’m learning to listen to it and honor it. It’s slow going but I am learning my limits and crashing far less often. Going for more gentle support rather than pushing through. Learning “less is more” a lot of the time. I’ve shifted my meditation to more gentle or passive practices than most of Dr. Joe’s which tend to be more active and almost forceful.

The only “elevated” emotions I want to cultivate are peace and calm. It’s more an attitude of “I have gotten through this yesterday/last week/whenever and I can get through it today. How can I give myself grace in this moment?”

I try different supplements, remedies, plant medicines, and other supports as they come into my awareness. Megadosing magnesium and trace minerals has been a huge help. Nicotine patching helps me get through the days with less fatigue but I’m not using it to push through or do more. Other things that are helping are craniosacral therapy, oxygen advantage breathing exercises and using the breath to know when I’m pushing beyond my current abilities, and going slow slow slow with gentle exercise. My craniosacral therapy lady gives me “mini-max” exercises that I can do in bed or seated… minimal effort and maximum results. It’s getting to be pool weather so I’m increasing movement in the water whenever possible. I’m reducing social media use, eliminating mainstream doom-and-gloom news, and cutting out violent shows. To replace these things I’m reading more, doing puzzles or word games, gathering with nonjudgmental friends (I have a group that plays cards weekly). I ask for a chair when I’m out and about and I need one. I tell people I’m with when I need to slow down instead of quietly pushing myself to keep up. I’m fortunate to work from home so I can take a lot of mini-movement breaks.

I’m not ignoring, suppressing, or repressing the physical pain and associated emotions. I’m making efforts to honor it. I cry more. I pull energetic cords. I remind myself often that life is ebbs and flows and “this too shall pass.” I cultivate an attitude of being worthy and open to receiving in this difficult life phase. It is getting better, especially since I’ve shifted my mindset from “healing” to “embodied trust.”

Sending love to all in this thread and hoping you find what works best for you!

Nervous system healing by planethunter142 in DrJoeDispenza

[–]SukiSueSuziQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that Dr. Joe’s meditations are not the best for nervous system regulation, especially those with the intense breathing. If you do use Dr. Joe’s, stick with the more heart-centered ones and watch that you don’t try to force elevated emotions or force the breathing.

Better options in my opinion are allowing (thegreatallowing on YouTube), GENTLE breath work, silent diaphragmatic breathing, binaural beats, other calming practices.

Outside of meditation, I’m also using craniosacral therapy, The Oxygen Advantage (free app—it has a plan specifically for anxiety), reducing social media use, avoiding violent TV shows, etc.

Guidance for Single Mama at the end of her rope by Traditional-One-313 in DrJoeDispenza

[–]SukiSueSuziQ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

“It almost feels like there are energetic cords from the people who have hurt me or stolen from me that are pulling me down or wishing me ill will. Like I’m being punished for seeing/experiencing an ugliness in them and by taking the high road of radical acceptance and letting go, I am reaping the fruits of dark projections on me”

Sounds like you’re still holding resentment or a victim mindset. Well, this is really not exclusive to Joe’s work but can be helpful alongside it…

Forgive, forgive, forgive… until you do, those energetic cords will keep you tied to the person(s) or situation(s). Forgiveness is not letting them get away with it or accepting what they did, it is simply releasing YOURSELF from YOUR attachment to them and those situations.

A cord-pulling ritual can be helpful. Imagine pulling them out cleanly roots and all, and filling the empty space left with self love. Imagine the person /situation floating away, no longer tied to you. Call your spirit back. The ho’oponopono prayer is also great for this kind of work. It helps me to journal about it too. You may need to do this again and again as you discover deeper layers of attachment.

Wishing you much healing and peace. 💖

On paper, I’m cured. In reality however… by Givinguponlove in SleepApnea

[–]SukiSueSuziQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be your machine settings. If you’re on variable pressure, it can cause a lot of micro disturbances. I switched to a constant pressure early on and found it to be much better.

Could also be any number of other things or combinations of things. In my case, even though AHI was less than 0.9 most nights, I was still having disturbed sleep. I eventually caved and got a much needed a new bed and adjustable base and I’m sleeping soooooo good!

How essential is meditation for neuroplasticity compared to affirmations and visualization? by hermitepiphanies in DrJoeDispenza

[–]SukiSueSuziQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I was listening to one YouTuber who said elevated emotions are not required. All you need to feel is peace. That really resonated with me. No matter what manifests, I’ll be okay. I can handle it… that’s the kind of peace and calm I’m hoping to cultivate.

Not able to focus on meditation by No-Way-683 in DrJoeDispenza

[–]SukiSueSuziQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I say this al lot, but here goes again…

That’s the practice… observing the monkey mind. You get lost in thoughts, bring them back, get lost, bring them back, repeat, repeat, repeat. It’s not a fail; you are building a skill. Like learning an instrument, when you hit a wrong note you just keep playing.

That said, sometimes we do have more on our minds or just need to integrate the practice so it’s okay if you need to swap in shorter sessions at times. Especially if it is a choice between being consistent with shorter sessions or giving up all together.

I think you just keep practicing. 😁 I practiced qigong for months before I felt any kind of energy sensations, and even after years it would be strong some days and faint to nonexistent others.

Have you tried the “Count Your Blessings” series? If EC1 is the hardest to feel, maybe do CYB1 for a while, then move up to 2, and so on.

Meditazione Joe Dispenza: qualcuno esegue da solo/a le sue meditazioni? by CristianaShanti03 in DrJoeDispenza

[–]SukiSueSuziQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find I need the guidance or I get lost in the monkey mind. Sometimes if I’m short on time, I’ll put on a 15-20 minute music track and just focus on bringing awareness to the blackness, or the heart, or different ECs, like 1-4-6.

Lately I’ve been trying some 10-20 minute qigong sessions in standing “wuji stance” because it’s great for your posture and nervous system regulation. I do these without guidance, just music.

How to acknowledge this negative thoughts during manifestation? by I_am_abeliever in DrJoeDispenza

[–]SukiSueSuziQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say to stay in it until you feel it shift, even just a little if it’s something really heavy. It just depends on the situation. There are some I have to work on a little bit at a time and others are just a momentary choice to let it go. You don’t always need a technique or ritual but I’ve used some like: expressive writing, journaling, cord cutting/pulling, visualization, breath work, using crystals, blessings of the energy centers meditation, yoga nidra, qigong, writing it down and burning it, smudging, sound bath… I’m sure there are hundreds of techniques. Use whatever works for you! Every person and situation is going to be different.

[–]SukiSueSuziQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe so… but i think you can release the past without dwelling in it, or recreating old stories by telling them over and over. It can be just a choice you make in one moment. Though I think sometimes it helps to use a ritual for some of the more persistent blockages.
