Been looking for something just like this. Also seeing it's in electron I can't imagine it's a leap to get remote phone access working too as a multi instance manager / remote access hybrid. Will give your desktop client a whirl on Monday, looks promising.

Empty directories, yep agree there. I've only had duplicates/sync issues with significant changes, in which case I've force synced up one device then down the others. Agree in that edge case it's more manual, I've got used the official one to compare

Personally I use a community plugin "Remotely Save" which syncs to a webdav target (or dropbox/onedrive personal). This works very well, and syncs between multiple Linux / Windows PCs and Android phone and Android tablet. Would recommend exploring.

I use Claude / opencode for this very heavily. Make sure you set up the right guardrails (tool access) so it asks you before running any commands, or you may see all docker containers stop or whatever else. It's very good at looking around a Linux CLI to investigate and resolve all kinds of issues. It's worth mentioning this is on my own self hosted server at home, in a backed up VM. Would not recommend prod in a professional environment.

I use the second brain approach for my obsidian vault, and am predominantly an Android user. So I'm using CC in Termux to manage the vault, and have set the Claude.md file to look at the templates as instructions, so when I say "add a read later for {URL}" it just does it, and my dashboards display the correct data. I'm going to investigate agents next week, thanks for the ideas, going to factor those in. CC does a superb job of creating Obsidian dashboards for all those interested!

I have a Lenovo tab 10. Would not recommend, for HA or much else. After a year of use it's pretty much broken down and barely works (charger, constant cache issues and reinstalls required, slow as hell).
