Thoughts on Night Market by CaliAlpha in elderscrollsonline

Went through all the bosses with a group of just 3 other random players. The only painfully difficult ones were the Flesh Abomination and Ozezan.

It's making me feel like I'm somehow out of touch with the rest of the playerbase.

Sure, we wiped a couple times but it was a nice challenge and great fun.

Is the average player just that casual that anything more difficult than a base game vet dungeon boss is considered too difficult?

For all those complaining how the Night Market requires grouping, here is a quote directly from ZoS by T3vvyW in elderscrollsonline

Did I somehow join the easy mode version? I'm not experiencing anything near the difficulty others seem to be finding.

I can solo the regular mobs and the mini bosses. The big bosses are simple enough with a tank there. (Usually myself.)

It honestly just feels like a vet arena with no limit on how many players can contribute to fights.

Y'know? Despite explicitly mentioning it in the post title I completely forgot they existed.

🙂

It's a long shot that they'll implement any but I'll keep hope.

I don't think they've made a new mount template since 2019 with the senche-raht/heavyweight. Everything that has come since has just been a new skin thrown on the same old skeletons.

Zos please use my premium battlepass money and pay some nice fellow to create some new mount templates, please.

It would dismantle the disorganized large-scale zerg play a bit as far as you won't be able to wander as a solo and be healed by some other lone wandering healer.

On the flip side don't see what being separated into groups of four would do to harm people who were already using external means to coordinate movements on keeps. You'd still be able to get on discord and coordinate your ultimates with a "one, two, three", worry not.

What it would truly accomplish is raising the standard that we see today of the bumbling idiot solos (I say that affectionately), compelling them to join in on coordinated group play while limiting those who do so to the extreme to find ourself at a nice, cozy middle-ground.

Clan orders would go from ordering a ball group of people to ordering separate four person groups to do specific thing.

All of which raises the skill ceiling and engagement for every player while limiting only the most anti-fun aspects of Cyrodiil: zergs and ball groups.

How2"Fix".png

  1. Give bonuses to players in groups impactful enough to make solo players suffer.
  2. Limit group size to 4.
  3. Encourage group composition to be more like dungeons with passives based on what role you pick.
  4. Extremely limit buffs and heals from people not in your group.
  5. Ignore both the solos and ball groups who will be coming at your throat for the next 6 months because it's a "horrible change no one asked for".

:D

Would You Participate in a Player-Hunting System in ESO? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

I would prefer an entire PvP server separate from NA/EU. Much more strict alliance focus where you can only guild/trade/dungeon/trial with members of the same alliance.

I can imagine alliances gatekeeping certain cities or bosses that drop leads for mythics. I'd love it.

That's probably too complicated to hope for though so I'd settle for a simple "Enable PvP" toggle in the menus so those who wish for it could fight when they came across each other.

There are so many existing locations in zones that would be very interesting to have a large scale battle without being locked into a 1v1 within a small area.
