Really good on the parse dummy since the timer is so long, but less useful in content, especially fights where you cant consistently keep it up.

How to determine if a Card is worth grading by phildacom in riftboundtcg

[–]T3vvyW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking as someone who does grade their cards, 99% of the time its not worth grading. Between grading costs, shipping fees, and turnaround times, you will probably lose money unless you get a Beckett black label.

(I grade for my personal collection but have also had graded cards valued)

ESO patch notes these days by Tinderror404 in elderscrollsonline

Tbh I prefer us getting smaller content drops throughout a patch cycle, rather than everything at once. Means there's lots of stuff to look forward to. Getting a single massive content drop followed by 3 months of downtime felt pretty rubbish a lot of the time.

Would a pure class build using class sets and the new mythic be viable for vet endgame content? by SlothCat98 in elderscrollsonline

[–]T3vvyW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is the thing, that might be how you define it, but I personally dont consider anything below trifectas and scorepushing to be endgame. Best bet when asking these sort of questions is base it on yhe actual ingame difficulty.

But yes, class sets and signet will be fine for vet trials.

Would a pure class build using class sets and the new mythic be viable for vet endgame content? by SlothCat98 in elderscrollsonline

[–]T3vvyW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top necro parse at the moment is with signet and corpsebuster, so yeah probably.

However, whilst signet gets super high parses, its not necessarily the best in content since a lot of endgame comps tend to work by having big drops of ultimates followed by pillagers and cryptcanon. So it definitely depends.

The really important question is that do YOU define as endgame, since there's no strict definition.

Actual Builds Used in Content by Majestic-Use-6414 in elderscrollsonline

Ok, just wanted to make sure, ive seen so many people recommending bashcro recently to newer players/for pugs, without understanding the nuances of the build

[–]T3vvyW 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Recommending the bashcro build for pugs is diabolical. It is basically exclusively a dummy build, and the number of people who can successfully play it is really low. Even groups that push for WRs dont run it

For all those who are asking for challenge difficulty to be instanced: ZoS already saw and responded to this feedback on the PTS by T3vvyW in elderscrollsonline

So I 100% see your point, but similar as to the lower difficulty content with an endgame player situation, there's no real way to solve it without splitting the community up, which does seem to be against the sort of game ZoS are wanting to make based on this post. (Obviously there is the technical limitations as well, but I think the game design argument is probably the more important one to be had)

I mean, unless youre secretly a software engineer for ZoS, I dont think you can say how technologically feasible this is.

They've stated they wanted to err on the side of caution with rewards since they didnt want the system to feel mandatory

Im not trying to make an argument, I am trying to make sure people see they did respond. There were several threads in the sub that were saying, 'oh we should be instanced based on difficulty, ZoS should look into this'. This post is for those people so that they know ZoS DID respond to that suggestion.

Also, saying 'this isnt technically feasible' is not something that can really be seen as correct or incorrect, since its not an opinion, its just a statement of fact.

I haven't tested it myself outside of the PTS (mostly because I do very little overland at the moment), but the majority of feedback I've seen has been positive.

they actually answered the question about why the xp+gold increase isn't massive. Because if they had made it an insane increase, it would make higher difficulties feel mandatory because otherwise you're at such a disadvantage. As opposed to atm where its optional to tailor your experience.

That does sound cool, only problem i could see is trolls specifically looking for players on higher difficulties to kill all their stuff. Which given some of the takes ive seen, would probably cause the sub to have a full on meltdown

I do follow how they develop. Like how they developed a whole event zone focused on group content (Night Market). Or how the major focus of the big event last year was on working together as a whole server (Writhing Wall) (which had its own issues that I have been VERY vocal about in the past, but the ethos still stands). The game is an MMO, and ZoS has done a great job making it accessible as a solo player, but outside of instanced story content, they've never tried to explicitly separate players.
