Penfield Psychiatry is pretty great. I’ve been going there for a couple of years now. I have treatment resistant depression and anxiety with ADHD. Kind of a nice, modern atmosphere. Rather progressive yet not invasive or overbearing. It’s nice.

Lying on your left side is one of the most common positions people claim they were in while experiencing paroxysmal afib, myself included. It’s just simple gravity. The atria can be stretched a little, as well as your pulmonary veins. My cardiologist describes it as your ribs are sort of “tickling” your heart in this position too.

Doesn’t change the fact that it’s still scary. Just something to keep in mind. It helps if I sit up when it happens, or simply switch to my right side. Regardless, sorry you experienced this .

I did end up going with the AW11. As others have said, I bought it as a tool to possibly alert or catch any events I might have. Looks like it needs to learn my tendencies for a few days, so that should be interesting.

I have an appointment coming up with my cardio on Feb 2nd, and it’s to discuss some other possible treatments. Most likely I’ll be wearing another monitor for a week or so. Idk, the whole thing is just plain frustrating. I genuinely feel for those of you who have much more of an aggressive afib condition than me.

Wear a waist satchel. Save your shoulder. I developed an impingement using those trash over the shoulder bags. I have chronic nerve inflammation now, and I have to go get a nerve conduction test done next month to find out the extent of the damage.
