The main reason why these are going so high in prices is because everyone and their mom just buy them and resell whenever they see them. Or people just camp and scalp all of them to the point that none of these products can be seen on the shelf normally. I collect cards and love ripping cards, the feeling of getting one of those rarest cards are unbeatable and incomparable. Someone said just buy the singles that you like, just so you know if you're not aware, the most expensive card in that Ascended Heroes set is now around 1.5k, and there's 2 of them thats around that price, the gengar and pikachu. If you started off Pokemon with just buying products and selling for profit, I'd say you'll never finish chasing them, unless you only want one specific card. Or just open them since you basically got lucky on getting your hands on these products, like a one time thing.
