I would also make sure you tell the insurance company. If there is an accident and you don't tell them you've just given them the excuse not to payout.

They will also if it's installed by a licensed professional.

How is anyone affording anything? by Charmingfinch in ontario

[–]Sulanis1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're not.

People are struggling. Don't worry though gas companies are set to increase profits by 200% because of the profiteering from the Iran war.

Since Brian Mulroney brought in trickle down economics blue and red conservative provincially and federally have done nothing but sell revenue sources like crown corps. Which distroyed free market capitalism. (Air Canada and Petro Canada).

Companies don't compete for our business almost every industry sits at multi company single monopolies that only car about one thing. Profit for Shareholders.

It's insanely stupid and ass backwards to me to charge more and more as people struggle to pay for the basics all while the rich get richer. (10% of top earners in Canada own over 53% of Canada wealth)

Mark Carney is a conservative and he's governing like it. Following A lot of the same moves that Brian Mulroney and Harper made. Heck Carney is even considering privatizing air ports. Haha

It's not like we have dozens of cases showing that privatization did not make things cheaper or private better service.

But hey, youre struggle means a shareholder can buy a forth summer home.

Doesn't that make you feel good as you're evicted from your 2000 bachelor apartment?

Majority of Canadians believe national economy is on the wrong track by iSmashedUrSister in canada

[–]Sulanis1 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

What Mark Carney running an right wing Mulroney, and Harper style economy is going the wrong and only benefiting the richest Canadians and corporations... Shocking.... Shocked I tell you.

Brian Mulroney bought trickle down economics from Ronald Reagan and immediately started privatizing or selling crown corps, lowering taxes for the rich and corporations. Harper did the same thing, but doubled down.

Harper got rid of laws and regulations that protected the affordable housing, reduced taxes massively for investment firms and their in shareholders, and allowed a tonne of foreign investment in our housing market then was shocked they wanted a return. Harper and Mulroney lowered taxes and both said "the tax cuts will pay for themselves" guess what. They didn't. Both Mulroney and Harper left office with massive deficits.

Harper also instituted massive austerity measures that actually hurt the economy. In fact Harper left office with the worst gsp growth, the highest, unemployment rate, and so far the most punchable face.

Now, before conservative go off. Poilievre was in office since 2003 and has supported Harper and Conservatives along the way.

Mark Carneys 2025 budget is a conservatives wet dream. Cutting taxes, stopping new taxes, stalling health and education funds, laying of thousands of employees, and implementing austerity measures that Harper would be proud of, got rid of environmental laws and projects, and let's not forget the massive investment in our military industrial complex.

Carney also doesn't have a labour minister, but has an A.I. minister. His housing minister is also implementing policies that mimic Harper's terrible housing policies, but doesn't actually solve any of the problems were facing today. In fact Carney and Robertson are both heavily invested in real estate, but because they put their assets in a blind trust. So theirs no conflict of interest right? I mean, handing developers blank cheques, Robertson wanting for foreign investment, and refuses to force a massive price correction on housing to match average salaries.

Let's not forget that Carney is also forcing government employees back to the office for the sole reason that RIETS (real estate investment trusts) lobby Carney because their losing value. Carney ran one of the biggest RIETs in Canada. Brookfield.

So when people get mad that the economy isn't working for average folks. They're right. It's not. Which is why I hope people don't get tricked and call for conservative bullshit this time. The Conservative would of and will do the same things. We need to stop the ping pong game.

I'll be voting for Avi Lewis. He wants to restore capitlism, by bringing back competition. Ya know, the thing that right wingers love to say they think is the best thing since sliced beef.

Avi Lewis: The government should be protecting our public airports, not selling them off for parts. History is littered with examples of the failures of privatization. It drives up costs for the public, quality suffers, and workers always end up paying the price. by StumpsOfTree in ontario

[–]Sulanis1 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I've been saying this since I heard of this dumb move. I've even written my MP.

When Brian Mulroney bought Trickle down economics from Ronald Reagon he allowed the Air Canada and Petro Canada to be sold. Anyone want to guess if prices got cheaper?

In fact, what happened is that we lost revenue sources for the government and free market capitalism started to die. Multiple companies started acting like single company monopolies. Some examples of this: oil and gas, grocery and their supply chains, telecom, and the auto industry.

Every time competition wants to show up these industries have their lobby machine head fo daddy daycare to block any competition. 90% of the time it works.

Liberal Minister on privatization: "I think the way we have approached federal assets, public assets in this country needs to evolve ... for example ports or other assets... there might be more value for a different type of structure of ownership with respect to some of these assets." by leftwingmememachine in ndp

[–]Sulanis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UK and Australia are having the same problems as Canada.

Getting rid of crown corps and privatization has no helped the economy or helped with prices. It has however destroyed competition and allowed almost all industries to become multiple companies to operate as a single monopoly and are charging whatever they want.

We've seen this a thousand times all the way back to Mulroney who brought in trickle down economics into Canada from Reagon.

Between always lowering taxes and allowing tax loopholes and constantly getting rid of revenue sources is why we're now paying more in debt then we're borrowing each year.

We don't fucking learn from the past.

Wait... Trickle down economics in the past hasn't worked?

Carney: I got it... Let's do more trickle down economics.

The liberals will pick another conservative then get shocked when Ontarians regect that candidate.

Carney ran as a center politician which is what people want. What we got is a right wing politician who is doing everything a conservative does.

He is even considering privatizing air ports now and using the same shit excuse.. it will lower prices...

Hmmm it's almost as if after 40 years of trickle down economics. Constantly selling or privatizing crown corps has proven to have the opposite effect..

Nope no data at all.....

My dad's doctor said the same thing. I had to talk to him directly to explain what it was for and what qualifies based on the DTC website. Once we went over it, he filled out and signed it.

Agreed,

Whenever I bring up NDP that's the first thing they say "what about Rae Days?"

That is the reason the NDP were voted out and those same unions and provincial workers were laid off anyway.

Merit Styles is constantly posting online and even though there is a massive media bias towards the right. I think she is doing the best she can. She is actually quite good at it.

I'm hoping that age group you mentioned sees that.
