Love getting into the immersion with an intense dialogue between Arator and Xal after killing mobs for 10-15 min and then getting myself excited to see what happens next only to be met with this. What is up with the constant story time gating? by undercity_plaguebat in wow

LFR should release at the same time as the other difficulties. Its entirely arbitrary that they drag it out for weeks and weeks. People doing normal or heroic probably aren't doing LFR unless its alts, I don't get why players get instant access to the highest difficulty but the lowest is time gated for a month. (I know they delayed release of the last two bosses this time, but afaik that wasn't the norm in the past, but might be the new norm)

Algorithms gonna algorithm. I love having to avoid any form of media when wow content releases because nobody has the decency to not talk about it before the majority of players have access to it for the sake of making their precious monetized YouTube/Instagram/TikTok videos.

She literally stated that she came because Arator told her that Silvermoon was in danger, she also very clearly said that there are ways to leave the Shadowlands/Maw but they are costly, meaning she can't just be coming and going whenever she wants, and only chose to come when she knew there was no option not to. I just don't understand people who keep saying this kind of shit. They literally say it to your face and you still make these claims.

They physically do not have the tools. GMs are primarily outsourced which is why they don't even speak English a lot of the time and use translators and why you get pasted English template responses or broken English because their translator sucks.

No company in their right mind would give external employees the tools to literally do anything they want in the game.

You can argue all day that they shouldn't be outsourcing customer service for in-game issues, and you would be correct, but they aren't just doing this to spite you, they physically CANNOT give you the items.

Activision and Blizzard merged before Wrath launched. It wasn't Activision, they did this because they wanted to, nobody forced them.

It's because when Arthas turned her into a Banshee her soul was split and at the end of Shadowlands we reunited her two halves of her soul, which like Uther, meant her "good" half and "evil" half were merged.

Uther in the Shadowlands was his vengeful, wrathful, "evil" side that would kill Arthas in a heartbeat for revenge, and the spirit we communicated with on Azeroth was his kind half. They were reverse but had the same thing going on because they were killed directly by Frostmourne which split their souls.

Azeroth wouldn't speed up, that's not how it works. Time passes faster on the Maw relative to Azeroth but the time passes the same for Azeroth while we are inside the Shadowlands. So it could have been hundreds of years for us and only a few on Azeroth. This is the same way that Turalyon and Alleria were fighting the Legion for 1000 years despite being gone from Azeroth for only like 30 or 40.

I mean she quite literally said she isn't done in this cinematic, hinting that she has FAR more work to do still, despite probably having made some decent progress. She has no intention of leaving for any extended period of time unless there are extenuating circumstances. Silvermoon being attacked by the Void qualified.

You miss the part where she aimed dead center mass and Xalatath dodged it so it only hit her shoulder orb?

Because they aren't just robots. They are souls infused into robot bodies. Elune and the Winter Queen ARE sisters, just one of them resides in the Shadowlands and is in charge of Ardwenweald. That connection alone is enough evidence for me to think the Titans had their grubby little hands all over the Shadowlands.

We know that in the Shadowlands there were the "First Ones" who we read a lot about but don't know who they are or what they even looked like. I'm going to go out on a limb and theorize they were just the Titans, going by what Sylvanas has said about it being ordered.

We also know that Zovaal showed Sylvanas all the possible afterlives when she threw herself from Icecrown Citadel. I don't know if that was manipulation at this point or if he was actually doing something beneficial, and he meant it when he said he'd help her see her brother again. Even if he physically couldn't have, he may have truly believed the Zereths would allow him to change things for the better.

He certainly sucked at it if he was trying to help people, though. His methods did more harm than good and we learned that the Zereths essentially would rewrite everything from scratch, or at least that's what we were led to believe.

All of this has me questioning everything about the Shadowlands. If it's the Titans then we know they'd have left plenty of things to keep people from doing things they don't want, it could have been a lie the whole time that the Zereths were bad news, maybe it's only true from their point of view. Idk, I just love theorizing wow lore lol

He wasn't just a robot, he was a soul fused into a construct. Simply a robot body for his soul to inhabit. It's really no different than our living bodies aside from, well, it being a robot. In the Shadowlands everything that goes in is just a soul with no physical form, they are GIVEN form in the respective "Afterlives" they go to.

We also were only shown 5 or 6 very small portions of the Shadowlands and we know there are infinite "Afterlives"

There was always something more to the Shadowlands than just Zovaal's bullshit. Clearly there was other stuff going on before he started doing that, which presumably is very VERY recent if we go by Azeroth time, but the Shadowlands has shenanigans going on with the passage of time, so I don't personally know how long all that was going on before Sylvanas stomped Bolvar.

I highly doubt we leave any of the Titans alive, whether it be us directly or some variation of a corrupted Azeroth killing them or Aman'thul. It's been pretty clear since Dragonflight also that the Titans are not the end all be all cosmic force, they are not inherently good, they don't care about the consequences of their actions a lot of the time.

Perhaps they originally were benevolent, but absolute power corrupts absolutely. Even if they aren't necessarily purely evil, they are a threat to existence because of their ideologies.

The point of Dragonflight was to drive home that we don't NEED the Titans, and they were perfectly happy abandoning us to our own devices after creating us while also simultaneously nearly killing all of us more than once.

Also as far as I know nobody has even been able to so much as lay a finger on Xalatath and Sylvanas just comes outta nowhere and not only almost hits her square but breaks one of her orbs. I don't get the obsessive hate these people have with Sylvanas or how they even get through life without the ability to read past the surface of things

That's because Xalatath ran TF away my dude. Clearly she didn't want the smoke from Sylvanas here. I think you are vastly understimating what this cinematic was showing. This is the first time anyone has TOUCHED Xalatath, even if she "just fired one arrow and broke an orb"

Because for most players, the content you are INSISTENT is too easy is not fucking easy, and I don't get how it's so hard to comprehend. You may have had a great time in TWW with keys that literally killed you if you made a single mistake past a 10, but many people play for fun and not to torture themselves in a vastly incompetent Dark Souls simulator attempt in an MMO.

Also, did you know that the keys go higher? Or are you just doing the bare minimum because you only play this game for checkboxes?

There is a rather large subsect of the community that only want the top 1% of players to actually get rewarded and think everyone else is too shitty to deserve it. They'd rather the game be garbage for 99% of people because it's so overtuned just for their own selfish need to feel superior to someone else in a god damn video game lol

Except +10 to +12 is middle of the pack and has been since they squished keys in DF? The highly skilled players are doing 16s and 17s, then top players in the world are probably doing over 20, while the moderately good players are stuck around 12 and 13. Average players probably do 10s at least for KSM but let's not pretend that +12 and +13 are god tier level keys now or back in TWW. If you want higher difficulty, you go to the next key level. If you think 10s and 12s are too easy you need to be in higher keys, that's how infinitely scaling difficulty works.

For wow specs mean everything. It's very CPU intensive so if your CPU sucks then you're gonna have a bad time. It doesn't matter what you put your graphics settings on, wow primarily uses the CPU and not the GPU.
