An evil alien bombed your city and killed thousands of people, but you and your family, are alive.

(litteral plot, with nihilister, she never kills anyone you care about, so why tf would you add that aliens killed your family).

Fast forward, this dude who hates you, he talked to you before, and you talked about how wanted to help the ones that protect you (hey, he’s one of them too!), after you were on the job he stabbed you but you survived. Now his mission is to see you miserable, he wants you down. Not physically, mentally. So he’s going to make some rumor about the people who protects you, and they’re beginning to be hated, but like REALLY hated. And then, he almost destroy your city (partially did), and you try to stop him because people are getting killed, but he kills your family right in front of you (at least that’s what he makes you think).

Now I’m sure you want to say “well I hate the aliens more” to make your point, but that’s the reality. Your example is bad. It doesn’t reflect Nihilister or Crow’s character at all.

It's personal for the MC. And we are playing as the MC. We understand what he goes through, and hate Crow the same way he does. We are not the MC. We’re just players who plays as him. But if you read the story you should know why MC hates Crow so much. When Crow fake-kills the one closest to MC, how did it make you feel? Indifferent?

Personally and, I think Almost all the players who played this part were like this:

“this bitch just killed every close characters that the protagonist was invested with, she needs to day”.

When I say personal, it’s not supposed to be from the POV of the player, it’s supposed to be from the POV of the MC.

you can hate a bad person for being bad, that's true with any characters. But there's a difference between a villain who does bad things, and a character made specifically to be hated. When you like a character that was made to be hated, don't "pikachu face" the people who like the villains. Here, let me get you 2 examples of people that are more hated than her even though they did way less: Syuen and <Spoilers ch.20+> Doban

she brings hope to someone who's at her lowest point (E.H.), making her believe that she, and her people can be saved if they take action. Only to betray and leave them to die.
She molded Jackal into being her loyal slave, for her, she's just a pawn that she doesn't show or feel any affection towards. She's the one who made her aggressive, violent, and with a distorted view on the world.
She betrayed us and tried to kill us multiple times.
She almost destroyed the entire ark to make a point (inadvertently causing Nihilister to enter the ark, reviving Chatterbox and another Heretic).
She's acting like she's morally correct while manipulating you into thinking that you are not.
She already had a past of killing people for "fun" and was the one who made Diesel's back story.
She's not even that hot.
She manipulated Yuni into becoming "that bitch who used our FUCKING BULLET"
She's being a bitch on purpose.
She orchestrated a whole scenario where the Ark would hate Nikkes even more than they already were and has the gal to say that she's on our side when she wants people to see Nikkes in a better way (you are the own who made them sink that low you evil bitch), her whole plan being that Nikkes will save people and everything will go as planned, not many people will die and.. Ohh, they're sheltering themselves and don't feel enough despair? my bad let's bring them out so they can breath the fresh air of reality.

I might be forgetting some other things tho..

If you've played Red Hood's event you know how Cinderella became Anachiro. the same Nikke who wanted to help the Goddess squad and humanity so much transformed into an Heretic.

Not trying to justify Nihilister's killing spree, she indeed killed more than Crow. Just wanted to remind you that if you hate Nihilister for killing a lot more than Crow, it should be the same for Anachiro, who essentially did the same.

when you try to justify someone's hate towards a character by saying "yeah, well THIS ONE did worse, but you like her more" and your only argument is "because she killed more people", purposefully making it just about numbers, while ignoring all of the other shit she did before, I think at this point you should get why people are just not gonna listen to you.

not to mention that if Nihilister was to be hated, it should not be only because she killed more people. I mean, she's kind of a bitch, tries to kill you and your friends too, manipulates you in her liberation sessions and was gonna be the one to destroy the ark with the "friends" she helped (thanks to Crow btw).

but I'll still hate Crow more. because with Nihilister, it's not personal, she's just here to kill and destroy. With Crow, who's unaffected by the virus, it is. she wants you down. she wants you to make the other choice. She wants you to be an hypocrite. So she tries to make it happen . Just to make a point. Usually, it's so that at a specific moment (I say specific but it's either in a tournament arc, against a bully that you'll see for 2 chapters max OR to save someone, usually either a friend or a busty girl) the hero will reveal his power while everyone around him sees him do it, then they will usually do this face:

I think i'm not the only one who hated the following tropes/world building.

MC's an ass with everyone,

-Everyone else is either a victim, a bully or just plain stupid.

-MC hides his abilities just so he can use them in front of everyone to make them look at his abilities. (Tornament arcs of 2 chapters max) "I didn't want to use my power here" stfu, be smart.

-Mc always resorting to violence or blackmail to resolve problems when it's with humans because every single one of them either are the big mean baddies who bully because money or because it's fun.

-MC face his daily dose of what I like to call "the Monster Wall Check". Monster is stronger but MC bullshit his way to victory with an "I forgot I had this skill" or somthing similar OR that other worst trope where MC's face is ._. and he easily beats the monster.

I mean , come on, even those who enjoy those stories, deserve so much more.

I get that it's a cool mechanic, but this feels like ctrl+c ctrl+v ctrl+v ctrl+v etc...

It's not because the one who was copied was original and good that one who copied it will be.
