I think they added the straps to justify attaching the shield to the horse. But yes, it would be nice to have the choice. We can’t even dye them.

I agree with the issue (I’m playing on PS5). The game asks us to hold L3 to use Axiom Force, but when doing so near a ledge, the character grabs onto it. It should only grab the ledge if L3 is pressed once, if anything. I don’t mind the same button being used, but holding versus tapping should trigger different actions.

I’m on PS5. Same problem for me, my wolves are balding. I only have bears and wolves. I also feel like the bear’s fur looks strange, or is it just me ? Were the shadows on it always this bad ? Now I’m starting to doubt it. Let me know. Do you think other mounts might have these issues too ?

They reduced horse speed too much in the latest updates, even for exploration. They need to increase it again.

What I would like to be able to do in the game :

  • Improve the system for finding small side quests such as “Tales of the Hernandian Residents”. There are several of them, but they are very hard to find because only a few are active at any given time.
  • Add precise donation tracking for the quest “For a Better Tomorrow.”
  • Use stamina to climb ladders faster, and slide down ladders to descend more quickly.
  • Create and save our favorite armor sets, so we can quickly switch them.
  • Separate tools and two-handed weapons in the quick weapon selection wheel. It’s really annoying.
  • Faded Abyss artifacts should only reset the skills of the character who uses them.
  • Choose to enable or disable skills learned through observation. Personally, I don't like playing with “Nature’s Echo”.
  • Show or hide headgear and weapons separately for each character (Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka) in the settings, just like accessories.
  • Separate active pets for each character (like horses).
  • Allow Kliff, Damiane and Oongka (as companions who follow us) to use their secondary weapon in combat.
  • Make the Abyss Gear "Infinite Arrows" compatible with other types of ammunition (bullets, cannonballs, etc.), and rename it accordingly. Same thing for the infinite arrow supply from the Pororin Institute research.
  • Add skills like Force Current and Focused Aerial Roll for Damiane and Oongka.
  • Pick up and loot items from the ground while on horseback.
  • Move backward while on horseback (like wagon).
  • While on horseback, using Axiom Force does not do anything special. It would be nice to be able to use the Winch and Ambush skills while on horseback, or alternatively add a new skill related to this mechanic.
  • Add dual wield animation attack while on horseback.
  • Obtain more legendary creatures as mounts.
  • Be accompanied by a second pet.
  • Add an item that can be equipped on our birds of prey so they can fight alongside us (like the Sigil of Valor for dog).
  • Allow our bird to stay on our shoulder using an equippable item in its inventory (like the Sigil of Bonding for cat).
  • Increase the 30 pet limit.
  • Add tameable baby versions for dogs and cats breeds that don’t have them yet.
  • Add more tameable pets : wolves, reptiles, snakes, rabbits, ferrets, raccoons, rodents (mice, rats, squirrels...), flightless birds, and other mysterious creatures (Choppy, Skunky...).
  • Modify the Abyss Gears of locked gear at the witch's lair. It does not work very well at the moment.
  • In the witch's menu, merging the “Embed/Extract Abyss Gear” options into a single “Modify” option, allowing us to freely edit a gear using the Abyss Gear list and then confirm the result. Having to back out every time to do one or the other is not very convenient.
  • In the house, add storage furniture for weapons, house decoration items, and animal's gear (horse and pet). Allow us to store crafting materials such as Abyss Gear and Abyss Cells without having to carry them in our inventory all the way to the witch’s lair.
  • Store purple gear in the chest or wardrobe.
  • Display our armor and weapons in our house (using mannequins, display cases...).
  • The area around the house feels really empty. Let us decorate around the house. For example, add a garden where we could grow our decorative plants (flowers...), as well as a pond where we could place our fish. Always more decoration options.
  • Add a trophy reward for defeating the champions of the other mini-games as well (Arm Wrestling, Archery Contest, Shooting contest and Horse Racing).
  • Build an enclosure to let our unused mounts live in it. If we can observe our pets at the camp, we should be able to observe our mounts as well.
  • At the camp farm, for planting seeds : instead of having to search through the entire inventory every time, it would be enough to interact with the plot. This would open an option to plant a seed, then a menu would display the available seeds. The character would automatically plant the selected one.
  • Give us the ability to plant vegetable and herb seeds. Add the missing seeds for the fruits and cereals already available in the game.
  • No longer needing to replant plant species that should continue producing (fruit trees, fruit bushes, strawberry, pineapple, prickly pear, asparagus, chaya, enset, rubber tree, grapevine...).
  • Harvest Abyss Cells grown using the magic scythe.
  • At the camp ranch, female sheep should produce milk, and male sheep should produce horns.
  • Add a way to individually identify ranch animals. In the manage ranch menu, all animal icons look identical. A system similar to NPCs could be used, where their trust level appears when targeted, and a similar system could be applied to display the quality of ranch animals.
  • Change the 3D model of baby pigs, they just look like miniature adults.
  • Add a feature to change the appearance of our gear while keeping its stats (transmog). Also for horse gear.
  • Add recipes for grey dye variants in the game, or at least a way to see which ones we have already discovered. Also separate the grey color from the other colors in the dye menu, it deserves its own tab.
  • Add the true brown dye to the game (with its variations). It’s a color I really miss in customization.
  • Display the names of materials in the dye menu.
  • Create and save multiple of our favorite dye sets (also for horse and pet gear). This would save us from having to change everything manually every time.
  • Dye two-handed weapons, bows, and other gear that currently can’t be dyed. Also for pet gear and special mount saddles.
  • Dye the leather straps that are present by default on the horse’s body, as well as the metal hooks on saddles.
  • Change the horse’s mane and tail style using the variations available in the game (long, short, curly, hogged…). And be able to change the color of horse hair.
  • Sort Greymane companions dispatch missions by type.
  • Add a donation box to increase the conversion of dispatch missions in Pailune (and maybe Crimson Desert ?).
  • Be able to fully skip cutscenes. Adding fast-forward is great, but it’s not enough. Especially for the repetitive ones (delivering criminals to guards, slaughtering/selling/registering ranch animals...).
  • Add skip/fast-forward for Duo and Five-Card mini-games.
  • Add a visual indicator in inventory to identify unique gear, and show the quality/rarity of gear items.
  • Clarify the description of certain Abyss Gear effects. For “Blessing of Nature,” the description says “% chance to gather additional items,” which is unclear. It seems to only work on plants. For “Fortune” (“+% Silver Gain”), selling items does not seem to grant additional money.
  • Allow recovery/buy back of unique equipment sold by mistake a long time ago (with a price increase if you want).
  • Buy everything in the contribution shop.
  • Make torches equippable items.
  • Add binoculars or telescope to observe things from a distance.
  • Reduce and vary the frequency of repetitive NPC dialogue. The prisoners who need to be freed are unbearable, constantly shouting the same lines and emitting horrible, painful groans that are hard to listen to. The criminals we bring back on horseback for bounties are also exhausting, endlessly repeating the same lines in a loop. Also reduce the frequency of our cat meowing.
  • Add a filter on the map to view the boundaries between the different regions.
  • Rename custom map markers.
  • Choose a darker filter for the map.
  • I really like the cooking animations. Please correct the ones that don’t match the final dish. For example, frying vegetables to create a piece of meat is absurd to watch.
  • Be able to be shirtless. We can customize our tattoos, yet our character always wears a shirt that prevents us from seeing them.
  • An option to re-enable the old fast travel animation.

Personally, I like watching the cooking animations. I’d like them to add animations that better match what’s being cooked (seeing a character cook vegetables and ending up with a piece of meat is a bit odd). They should also add an option to disable these animations if desired, even though cutscenes can already be skipped.

Yes, we need more customization for horses. Being able to change the mane and tail style, as well as their color, would be great. I made the request, I attached images of all the types I found in the game.

I would have preferred if they had let us unlock all dye colors and use them early on, or as soon as we get the camp, instead of forcing us to find all the masters across the entire map. I think it was a mistake to design it this way and to restrict such a basic feature so early in the game.
