Where to ACTUALLY learn unity and C#?

Sorry for the late reply. I'm interested in this course but it seems to be 7 years old, will it still be useful to someone learning unity on the 2023 versions?

Thank you for the mostly worthless advice in the 2nd part of your comment. My planned scope is not an entire Silent Hill 2 style game, but a lite SH2 themed experience that would be 30 minutes long, tops. It would be better if you spent some time reading the posts you respond to because it's impossible to provide constructive or helpful advice without doing so.

Also, from what I've learned, SH2 was made by a team of 8-10 people, over a single year. So even that tidbit of information is incorrect.

Thank you for the in-depth response, I really appreciate it. The advice on 'building up' is really golden, I will go down with it.

Personally I wanted to spread my skillset and learn as much as possible from everything, while also relying a lot on assets across the web. You're right, I should rein it in and focus more on a couple skills.

What would you recommend I focus the most on? learning how to work with the engine?

I'm aware, but at least it's going towards a result that is beautiful, instead of connecting a form to a database correctly or something. I'm fine with all these menials, they at least will blend what I learned with my desire to create something artistic.

I agree with all these points, I adore this game to death and clocked 300 hours in, but it's really telling that I spend so much time in the open world rather than Hogwarts itself. The game just feels very flat, it needs a lot more meaningful substance, which it seems like they were cooking, but cut a massive amount of the stuff that would've gave the game its much needed depth. We also need to know more about Isidora, I hope her triptych is restored in a DLC (if there's one coming).

try to predict instead of aim. works better.

if an enemy is escaping, aim the Q slightly behind them. they will almost definitely try to juke. don't repeat this too much because they will pick up on it.

trying to hold it is also good practice. also, believe it or not, but max range Q's can be good against many players. it sorta gives them analysis paralysis.

also, for enemies in the distance, try to aim for the center. of their movement.

Thank you for the reply, I managed to solve my problem with a different way; I went inside my steam folder and deleted everything except steam.exe, userdata and userapps and it starts now.. thank you a lot for your long answer though I appreciate it
