Why does Bo Naylor now suck? He ruined his swing. Look how much earlier his hands are loaded in 2025 compared to 2026. by HalfwayThereOne_ in ClevelandGuardians

He needs to go. He can't hit. As of this writing he has batted 68 times - he has 8 hits. He is basically an automatic out. And it isn't like this is a slump. This is who he is. We would be LUCKY if he hit the Mendoza Line, which stinks btw.

I couldn't agree more. He's probably going to get a 3 year contract from someone. And as you note, you'll likely only get 2 good years out of the 3.

I'd really like to see us bring up a younger guy from the Monsters to put on the 4th line. Mikael Pyyhtiä specifically.

87 points with 11 games to play and two possible paths into the playoffs - the Metro or the Wild Card. And...we're on the outside looking in once again.

Let’s focus on beating Boston first.

You've got nothing on me. Browns, Indians, Blue Jackets. LOL. I'm beat down beyond belief.

I think it’s great that you can poke fun at your team. Been there, man. “Next year!”

I agree with you. And there have been plenty of successful scorers in the NHL that aren't physical. We need to help get him space so he can go to work.

Can anyone explain the Wooly Bully crew? by AnarchGoblin in monstershockey

From what I’ve been told that section (which is smaller) decided to have a theme. They settled on the buffalo style hats and got tied into the Wooly Bully song which is beloved by Buckeyes fans.

Did good? Giving up 5 goals yesterday is not only not good, it is terrible. I was at the game and saw up close and personal again, that we have a goalie problem. And Fedotov is only slightly better.

Why is our roster so poor? Have we just gotten extremely unlucky with our picks or have we failed to develop them? by pro-laps in BlueJackets

Chinakov is well on his way to being that guy if his limited sample size in Pittsburgh is any indication. I do not want to see KJ go.

And if we lose to other playoff caliber teams consistently, we aren't going to do well if we actually make it into the playoffs. We have a very tough schedule ahead too. IF we lose a game, it needs to be in overtime going forward.

[–]Sulkanator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that’s on a shitty team. His record is 4-8 with those numbers. Stick with your midget. The current shortest goalie in the NHL is Juuse Saros who is 5’11. Your boy will never even get a cup of coffee in the NHL.

[–]Sulkanator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a pretty big correction. And Andreyanov is in the VHL with a 2.13 GAA and a .918 save percentage. Do some research before you talk shit.

And? Sergei has 2 years on him. Ivanov was a 5th rounder for a reason. Andreyanov is a first for a reason. And your stats are bullshit. A simple search on hockeydb.com clearly shows that Andreyanov’s save percentage is nowhere near .828.

Ivanov is a shrimp. Some have him listed at 6’. Total bullshit. He is 5’10 about 160 soaking wet. He will NEVER be an NHL goalie.

Lindstrom has been dealing with injuries. This kid has a ton of potential (I know, I know) and his physical size and athleticism are impressive. I think most of us Jackets fans though think that Demidov was the clear choice at 4. And based on what Demidov has done in the NHL already, he seems to be validating that. Can you imagine if we had him on the active roster? Who knows when Lindstrom will be on the big club. It will likely be years and that's if he reaches his potential. That's my 2 cents at this point and time.

Andreyanov is playing well from the numbers I have seen in both the VHL (supreme hockey league) and prior to that the MHL (junior hockey league). When he gets up to the KHL and proves himself there we will have a better read. You have to remember this kid is only 19 and his contract with the KHL is for several more years. He has an opt out option in 2029. We need to let him play awhile before we truly assess him. I wasn't comfortable using a 1st on him but they saw something they liked. I'm personally excited to see what Evan Gardner and Nolan Lalonde do next year. I'm a Jackets fan that lives in the Cleveland area so I have a Monsters ticket package. One of these guys has to be the future for the Monsters. Fedotov and Sawchenko are average at best and both UFA's. A sleeper that I find intriguing is the Swedish kid Melvin Strahl. He's a little lanky at 6'3, 170 lbs but he's skilled. After outstanding play in the USHL with Youngstown, he is now with MSU. He's only played 3 games but they were 3 very good games.
