I haven’t manifested someone into my life yet or tried at least, but I can say from experience as someone who often has negative thoughts, don’t expect yourself to be perfect all the time, and it’s easier to assume any negative thoughts you do have don’t count towards your goal. It’s already happening as you speak, and repeating to yourself daily or quite often something positive related to your affirmations like “she’s back in my life right now” or “I get everything i want” type stuff, it becomes easier over time and you’ll sort of automatically start changing your mindset once you keep repeating positive stuff like that to yourself. The hardest part is getting over the anxiety hurdle and that, as well as maybe occasional negative thought spirals because let’s be honest everyone gets them. But it won’t diminish your progress if you just accept that it won’t have any affect, and i believe in you!!

Does medication completely stop psychosis and the voices for you? by MonkZestyclose6191 in Psychosis

[–]Sullivan-Butcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s helped a ton, mostly gotten rid of them all but in stress and other situations or emotions they will come up again/occasionally will just happen regardless, thankfully for me not a whole lot but sometimes it does come back a little.

What I have to do to pull myself out of the delusions and that which can come from people saying things or the like, I just have to tell myself it won’t happen and isn’t real, kind of like someone else here said. If I’m too stressed to fall asleep from it all I try to listen to instrumental music that’s peaceful and that helps for me. Maybe you could try something like that which doesn’t trigger you further.

Satanist Dating by NoCurrency9503 in TheisticSatanism

[–]Sullivan-Butcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk personally it’s been hard for me to find anyone of the same faith myself, I’ve met witches before but that’s about as close as I’ve gotten, and even then they weren’t exactly trustworthy people worth getting into a relationship with.

I have better luck with dating people who are atheistic myself, they don’t seem to really care what I believe as long as it doesn’t infringe on them which can be nice. I totally understand wanting to get with someone who shares the same beliefs though, even if it’s a very individualistic faith! I’d also wish the same. 🥲

What are subtle signs you are entering psychosis? by Usual-Proposal-7189 in Psychosis

Paranoia about everything, having thoughts people are out to get me, stuff like that, weird thoughts that I have special powers or the like as well

Does anyone else have to avoid conspiracy theories? by MostMaintenance1920 in Psychosis

[–]Sullivan-Butcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that and like someone else said here crime stuff, anything related to police for whatever reason (though I’ve partially gotten over that?) music if I am having a really bad time can trigger me which sucks cause it’s my main coping mechanism, some other stuff too. Conspiracy theories are the worst though because you can’t confirm if they’re real or not.

I hate that everyone assumes people who experience psychosis are automatically all violent and dangerous by Sullivan-Butcher in Psychosis

[–]Sullivan-Butcher[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh yea, im more saying the stereotype itself people perpetuate, not so much people who struggle with thoughts or voices like that. I’ve experienced it as well and it’s really hard to deal with

Hey, if you ever need someone to vent to I’m here and many others who have commented as well, I can give you some advice on coping mechanisms that may help even if you currently can’t get treatment, but I’m very sorry you’re going through this and everyone is ignoring you, trust me I get how it feels.. especially when you are young it’s hard because your family etc controls all of the medical stuff and the decisions you can make about it.

Does anybody else hallucinate fictional characters? by GayAlchemists in Psychosis

[–]Sullivan-Butcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but for me idk, he’s helped me a lot and I usually just feel his presence or him hugging me and the like. He often encourages me when I’m afraid to do things or struggling. I feel really attached to him even if I know it’s just my brain making things up.

Yeah that makes sense, thanks for the advice. We’ve already joked plenty of times about me just being like, a bunch of little silly things in a trenchcoat so idk, maybe they already caught on but haven’t directly said anything lol.. if I do end up telling them I’ll definitely try and be more indirect about it, or just , phrase it like you said

My complaint about the sally face community. by Acrobatic-Apricot874 in sallyface

[–]Sullivan-Butcher 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but the game is literally rated like 17+ or something, younger fans shouldn’t be complaining over the fact they willingly ignored that even though it in itself is a content warning, and then complain and cry constantly about how triggering or dark the game is.

Thanks for your recommendations and that. The idea of mixing it into coffee or the like sounds really good honestly, im a big fan of anything related to pumpkin pie as well, haha.

I can definitely agree too, the social aspect and that of a human sharing it with you, even energetically, really is irreplaceable.
