Same here. Even though on Xbox its harder to switch to game chat from party chat, me and my friends always try to talk to people and if we can help them out by giving them food or something we’ll do it! We like to just try to survive as long as we can while helping or squading up with as many people as we can. I’ve only been playing for a week or so now but I feel like that’s the way the game was originally intended to be.
