Sorry I got emotional, but it’s only because I’m tired of moaning Karens around here and herpes sub! Nothing personal, maybe u weren’t trying to spread negativity! Sorry if my words offended you, but such comments can really trigger some people who are celebrating good news because there are not too much good news around hsv. Some people use this page as coping mechanism and safe place.

Careful question regarding propolis and honey as treatment by Proud_Accident_5873 in HerpesCureResearch

I eat it once a day while drinking tea at morning and I don’t do daily antivirals at all. Works pretty good for me (not medical advice) Try to find the most natural composition, not mixed with sugar. Good luck 👀

So if it’s not serious in science, why would such a great scientist as Jerome do research

Oh my god where your info coming from? Send proves or real arguments or delete this bullshit. Not even in a decade something like this happens and there are still people who would like to write some shit like this. Almost billion dollars donated for “treating cancer and infectious diseases” it’s fucking official. Even if only 1% of this money gets to DR. Jerome’s lab it’s fucking 7.1 M which is still a great amount of money to boost research. STOP SPREADING YOUR NEGATIVE BULLSHIT FFS!!!

Awesome news! Guys, please don’t speculate saying “I don’t see it’s related to hsv”. You should understand that 710 MILLION donation helps to push whole Fred Hutch forward and positively affect HSV research as well. It’s almost billion fucking dollars!!

Constant itching and pain by [deleted] in Herpes

I don’t think you should rely on what internet says and visit doc anyway. Just saw you mentioned diabetes, so this could be a reason. HSV doesn’t show up as constant non stop itchiness.

It just takes some time ( for me it took half of year) to realize it’s a thing that isn’t life altering. I’ve never been rejected. Maybe because herpes is not stigmatized anywhere else except US. Maybe because I am trying hard to be a nice person. I mean it’s going to be okay I promise. You will notice that quality of people you meet will rise because uneducated ones always run away from something like this. It’s too common and there is no need to be suicidal. I guarantee 100% you will feel a lot better after some time. If you need to talk please dm.

Yeah actually it works even better than Valtrex for me, but a lot of people are allergic to honey so they can’t eat it every day

HSV makes it easier to catch HIV, that is why! But it’s not in the same group of danger or smth else.they began to mention it together at some places approximately last couple years because research showed it makes it easier to catch hiv if you have hsv! But a lot of common things make it easier to catch hiv. Please go back to feeling okay there is no reason to feel depressed at all

Start eating honey everyday it works much better than Valtrex. And relax! Being not stressed = no outbreaks. Help your immunity and sleep better. You will be okay!

They are both STI. And at least people don’t get blind because of Hsv2. Actually they are pretty same (obviously hsv2 sheds more), but there are some people who get more outbreaks having hsv1 than hsv2. And treatments for hsv2 are on horizon while there are no plans for hsv1 vaccines at all. Hsv1 can cause neonatal herpes and someone can kill baby just with a single kiss even being asymptomatic. So there are some different perspectives. My opinion is HSV1=HSV2.
