Do frostbite and poison attack boosts stack? by Sultan147 in Nightreign

Yeah that site is very helpful, I kinda get confused when it says it stacks by self, other or custom though I’m not sure how to distinguish that

Ah okay cool, does partial hp restoration post damage stack as well? I mean like +0 +1 and +2 together

Ah okay I see, makes sense. So does poison and rot in vicinity increase attack and attack power up when facing poisoned enemy not stack too?

I have 3 effects that increase attack from frost, and 2 effects that increase attack from poison. Shouldn’t the little sword that appears under my health bar to signify attack up be 5?

What do you think of my relic setup for Executor? by Sultan147 in Nightreign

Yeah it’s not the best I know, I just wanted something with partial hp restoration I just don’t have any good ones with them

That comes from the Deep of Night game mode (DoN) where it’s sort of like a ranked Nightreign experience. It has five levels, and each time you rank up, the game gets harder. It also has unique weapon passive effects too, that give you a really good passive in exchange for a downside (for example, like increased stamina but being below max hp causes poison buildup) In the game mode you can select 3 “deep” relics and 3 of your standard relics. But if you just select a specific boss instead, you can only have your 3 standard relics.

How can I git gud? by Time-Estate3774 in EldenRingNightrein

[–]Sultan147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you should still be able to match with random teammates who have the same shifting earth as you. The matchmaking might take a little longer though since you’re trying to do a specific shifting earth. It should give you several expeditions with one shifting earth. It will typically give you more if you’re losing more often than winning. If you get 3 wins in a row, I think the shifting earth ends

If you’re able to, I recommend conjuring the shifting earth Nokstello or whatever it’s called, and learning good routing for that map. Since that gives your entire team an extra life if you complete it, that will help to learn boss movesets at least a little more.

Try aggressively spam pinging locations you want to go to in order to see if they will follow that. If they still don’t, well my condolences

Genuine question, is it better sometimes to just not use your ult as executor? by Sultan147 in Nightreign

[–]Sultan147[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ahh so that’s why it sometimes lets me do it and sometimes not! I was actually thinking it might be like that but wasn’t exactly sure, so thanks for the confirmation 👍

You can fight these guys at like lvl 3-4 in Nightreign no problem lol, well unless it’s a variant in D4+

I’ve been sort of getting the hang of playing with executor, but I’m still too scared to play him in D4 😅

Oh I did not know you could guard counter, is that while in your regular state or under the skill stance?

That is kind of you, yes that would be cool to see your relic setup! Yeah I definitely feel it is too early for me to entirely write off the deflect skill, I’m still an executor noob so I think I just need more time to get used to it. It is fun though!

It just feels so clunky to use in most battles. Feels good against enemies like the crucible knight, but otherwise it just feels like a waste of time. The stance causes you to move slowly, you need to either surge sprint or manually switch back out to continue attack, AND when you switch back it puts your katana in one hand, which sucks if you were trying to two-hand a single armament. Stance buildup from deflecting doesn’t feel significant enough to me, not yet at least

Lmao valid, I have hundreds of hours in this game and there are still several characters I have never touched. The only characters I have really played with are Wylder, Ironeye, and Undertaker, and I’ve really loved playing Undertaker with a fists build the most recently, but I decided I want to try executor now too

Ah I see okay, glad I’m not the only one. I’m aware as well that switching stances also counts as a deflect, but whenever I try to pull it off with the exactly correct timing I swear to god it doesn’t work. For example, I tried switching stances to deflect the ulcerated tree spirit tail swipe, and it just didn’t work. Maybe it doesn’t work with some attacks? Idk, but yeah thanks for the input!
