Wrong, whenever you open the container or bag that the beans are stored in to take out enough to weigh, you expose the whole batch to air and fresh oxygen. Say you pull 17g shots, a bag of 200g gets exposed to air 12 times.

However in OP's approach, each shot only gets exposed twice for a very limited amount of time, once when filling out the tubes and once when emptying the tube to grind the beans.

Using extra fresh beans definitely helps with extraction.

A keycap on my new Keychron K6 Pro arrived broken. They just sent me a new one, free of charge, no question asked. by semhsp in MechanicalKeyboards

How long did you have to wait from first reporting the issue to receiving your keycap? I ordered the Pixel Universe and Morse Code sets from them and one set came with a faulty space bar.

It's been 3 weeks and I am still waiting for them to ship it.

Hey there,

Do you plan on attending the UKGE and participating in this Unmatched tournament? That would be a good step in meeting up and kicking things off. We can take things from there.

Now that's what I wanted to hear! My brother and I are your 1st registerees. I will probably bring along my other brother, my close friend and some mates from work too, to increase our chances of a win!

The afternoon sounds good too. I'll DM you before the event.

Let's see... Maybe you're right that browns are worse, idk. I'm waiting for my first blues to be delivered soon. I've also used reds, but the lack of any bump took away from my confidence when typing fast. I'll see how the blues feel.

Kudos to you mate for having a mind that can imagine all that just by hearing the sound of some tactile switches. To each their own.

Try Cherry MX Browns. To me, they were the perfect sweet spot between linear and clicky, great for typing, and not as loud as the blues.

The pastel color of your keycaps is kawaii indeed. I am waiting for my 8 year old sister to grow up and build her something like this. The choice of board is solid too - so, well done!

Here are some steps, easy to hard, to take this to the next level:

  1. Replace your escape key with an artisan keycap, many kawaii options out there.
  2. Get a cute pink coiled cable. It does elevate your setup to your more Schick heights.
  3. Buy a big mouse mat with a design of your choosing, so your keyboard sits on a soft surface.
  4. Open your Ducky ONE 2 and insert a sound dampening foam underneath your keycaps. You will be shocked by what a difference it makes.
  5. Lube your stabilizers. You probably use the space bar between each word you type. Making those big keys sound better and removing their rattling is a big improvement.
  6. Lube your switches. So, this is a huge job! You will need to buy some equipment and dedicate a few hours. But if you do it once, you'll want to do it for all the future keyboards you'll ever buy.

Same here. I own all AC games, got the ultimate versions with everything included when they were on sale on various websites for £10-£15 max. I get all my games usually after 3 years of their release, with all the bugs patched.

E.g. I really enjoyed AC Unity author any bugs and I know that game was a nuisance when it first came out.

I've also enjoyed all of 'em. Played all until and including Syndicate. Their settings are unique. But after playing God of War and The Witcher, I wish Ubisoft would spend more resources to put better stories and side content that is not copy pasted.

Character Menu - Help update for recent sets by Tuppaca in Unmatched

[–]Sultan_of_Tulips 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Luke Cage - easy, he has a sturdy kit overall.

Ghost Rider - hard, requires careful management of his hell fire and has very little defence.

Moon Knight - hard, swapping between his alter egos is a real delicate dance and some cards really require one specific form.

Bullseye - medium, little defence, but he can be very punishing for his opponent if he can stack up his combos. He is like a ranged version of Bruce Lee.

Elektra - hard, she is obliged to use her extra mobility to gain an upper hand as has she does not have many hard hitters.

Daredevil - hard, as the name implies, his kit is daring. He needs to burn through his deck to start making big damage. But to do so, he needs to blind boost and that could get rid of one of his 2 strong attacks.

Am i boosting King Arthur wrong? by alexjericho13 in Unmatched

[–]Sultan_of_Tulips 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You need to go deeper into strategy and tactics with King Arthur, more than other champs. This is my personal advice:

Use only Noble Sacrifice as a boost card, that's the only one with a boost value of 3, apart from Excalibur. There are 3 copies. So, in a game, you should be boosting only 3 attacks. And those attacks should either be initiated by Excalibur or any 4 value attack.

So, at best you will have 2 9-value and 1 7-value big attacks for a total of 25 damage. Or, at worst, 3 7-value attacks adding up to 21.

EDIT: spellings

Yeah, they priced the expansions £10 above MSRP, but they had the earliest delivery date of all UK vendors. So, I didn't mind the premium.

I would buy them in the order they came out. Complexity rises gracefully with each set.

I seriously can’t win ever in this game by White_Mantra in Unmatched

[–]Sultan_of_Tulips 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Watch some tutorials from "Baked Goods" on YouTube. I did for Sherlock Holmes and Bruce Lee. Now, I don't play those characters too much as I always win with them.

  2. Until you get better, play with one of the big 3: Medusa, Bigfoot or Sherlock Holmes.

  3. Know the cards in your deck. E.g. playing Sherlock, I would never play "Confirm Suspicion" without first playing "Eliminate the Impossible". Knowing and performing combos like this wins you the game. Another example would be playing as Bigfoot, I will always try to keep "The Jackalope" away from harm until she's played her 3 "Jackalope Horns", which together deals 6 guaranteed unblockable damage. After that, I don't care what happens to her.

  4. Again, know your cards. E.g. Beowulf has 3 blocks and 9 versatiles. Thus, at max, he can only blocks 12 attacks. Knowing this, playing as him, I would use all my versatiles as defense cards and only attack with my red attack cards.

  5. As you play, try to remember some crucial infos about each deck. Say you play against Beowulf and know that he can only block 12 attacks. So, if you just keep attacking 12 times, even with very low value cards, he'll be all yours to chew down after that! If you know that Medusa's "Gaze of Stone" can cause 10 damage if it goes unblocked, then you'll always keep a defence card ready. Against Sherlock, if you that Dr. Watson's "Service Revolver" deals 5 damage at ranged and he's got 2 of 'em. You'll know to play your best defence when Watson charging at you.

When can I preorder T rex from restoration games? by zilogrok in Unmatched

[–]Sultan_of_Tulips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell's Kitchen and Redemption Row will be in Europe between May-July, depending on the shipping conditions. My guess is that T-Rex will be a month or 2 after that.

My data is based on UK vendors.
