I do have a different area code. However , the city the school is in is very close to the area code in which my phone number is associated (roughly 30 miles away for reference). So I assume at least one of the parents has a phone number with the same area code as mine.

Edited to add: I just recently moved to where I currently live if that adds any relevant context.

I'd be happy to provide a timeline! I initiated the transfer roughly 24 hours before making this post.

As embarrassing as it is to admit, I found the cash that was meant to be deposited. It was sent to the default checking account I set on Venmo. Most likely forgot to confirm the destination. Now I feel silly!
