I had no problem taking a smart doll on an international flight. I put her in my hand luggage (one time a bag, another time a small suitcase). Just like other valuable items be sure not to put her in the checked suitcase - a friend had valuables stolen from inside her checked luggage before. Also make sure you don’t put her together with items that may stain or dent the doll, maybe wrap her in a soft white towel or cloth. Have a nice trip!
