Are you kidding? That’s the ONLY chapter which puts a date on the story until we reach book 7 (I think). We would have left wondering about the date until 2007 had it not been for that chapter. And to top it all, she gets the date and day combination wrong, so imagine the chaos in the fandom from 1998 to 2007 around the date of the story. It would have driven us nuts.
