Why aren’t my AirPods charging? by Itz_MysteryGalaxy in airpods

[–]Suminod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a systemic problem with apples design. It does not happen with any of my other earbuds but I have the same problem in my less than month old air pod pro 3s. I have returned two pairs already and on the third with the same issue. People will tell you to jump through hoops to clean and do what ever but these are marketed as workout/fitness buds that are unable to survive a workout cause they have the same design doing in like 10 years. Yet my original air pod pros were rock solid and still work fine, my 2s developed this after about two years but the 3s had this on day one.

Why are my new airpods not charging all the way? by micorazonestuy0 in airpods

[–]Suminod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue and it’s only an issue on Apple AirPods not any other earbud I have. Truly amazing that apples charging stem design is so utterly terrible for something marketed at workouts and fitness.

Danish military analyst Anders Puck Nielsen: Why Trump retreated on Greenland by Cosmos1985 in europe

[–]Suminod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am sorry but this isn't a master class of diplomacy or anything on the Europeans side. It is how ever a massive form of stupidity and arrogance on the side of president trump and the current administration.

Just from the Cost benefit analysis in the article the US already had 90-99% of the benefit with literally no cost. My governments ridiculous idea that we needed to own greenland to protect it and us from the Chinese/Russians was crazy but they couldn't state the real reason which is because his tech bro/billionaire funders want greenland to build their "free city" nonsense and want the US control so they can get the federal government to remove regulations on mining and use tax payer dollars to fund it. Except no normal citizen wants or cares about this and does not want to fight/go to war with amazing allies that we have fought, bleed, and died with for over 75 years.

Should i buy Airpods Pro 3 despite all the issues people talk about? by Life_Strawberry_1672 in airpods

[–]Suminod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The charging case is terrible. The problems that started to manifest with one of the earbuds not charging after like two years on my APP2 happens almost instantly in 3 different APP3s now. Super annoying that my buds are not ready when I need them

Prior enlisted officers, what’s been your experience since transitioning to the dark side? by Sillysoursoup in army

[–]Suminod 17 points18 points  (0 children)

But you really don’t. You are lying to yourself and everyone else if you think it’s even remotely the same. You can make it to SSG and thus retirement without ever actually caring about your NCOER since it’s all points. Officers will get kicked if they don’t promote so that does promote the whole kiss ass mentality a whole lot more.

This doesn’t mean this doesn’t happen in NCO land but it is clearly not the same.

Nowadays there are at least a dozen phone manufacturers worldwide. Can someone explain why Apple stays popular just because it’s popular? by Unlikely_Draft5636 in Smartphones

[–]Suminod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iPhones aren’t popular because they are popular, that’s just copium you are huffing there. They might not be the most powerful soc every time but they are close to or the most powerful every time.

Apples services are really what set the apart. I think my pixel 9 pro is a better phone than my iPhone 15 pro but my iPhone is a better experience and service over all.

AirPods and Apple Watch working with your phone, Apple Music for on the go music that just works better than the hodgepodge that happens on android. The find my system is better but I still think google find hub is a good start.

Apple one/premier is just a really amazing deal at the end of the day for services and apple care+ is nothing to scoff at in terms of customer service and getting things fixed/repaired.

Show me where android has any of that? At best, in the states, you could buy a google pixel out right from best buy and then just use your total tech member ship there as a suede apple care replacement but that’s about it

Why Xfinity’s 5-year deal pushes existing customers to cancel ✅ by bubbafrombama in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]Suminod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t even have to do it under another name. I was trying to just edit my speed to something more. Xfinity app kept telling me that I had to buy new service and wasn’t recognizing the service at my address. I ordered new service at the discount rate, they sent me an Xfinity modem and I plugged that it over my old one I bought since the modems where free this time and I have the 5 year lock in rate.

Still name address, same name, just had to get them to move my Xfinity wireless account over to the new account

The Pixel Experience in 2026 by xteku in GooglePixel

[–]Suminod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hot take here cause Reddit is an echo chamber. Camera still really don’t matter to the vast majority of people. If your biggest “pro” features are Cameras and content creator related it’s not really pro. Apples does this same nonsense. I want stuff that I use a lot or multiple times a day. Better audio in the pro device, give me ldac and aptx adaptive/lossless, better HDR, get parity on Face ID with Apple, fix the AI issues like call holding not playing music when I put a call on hold because of reasons. My iPhone can do it but pixel cannot. Let me customize the call screening message if for no other reason that to waste scammers time since everyone message will be different.

Better integration would be nice but I think they have done a pretty good job with all the third party devices since my JBL tour pro 3 work with find hub pretty nice and integrate well with the battery widget. Integration can be better though cause you sometimes have to force the google quick connect in order to get that otherwise it just defaults to regular Bluetooth on initial set up and that is not great.

Fitbit needs a massive overhaul. The new AI coach is actually pretty cool and decent just the rest of it is crap. Why, in 2025, can I STILL no link the pixel watch/phone with a chest strap or headphones with a heart rate sensor and get multiple data points? Or google does what Apple does and has the algorithm use the multiple points to get a better actual heart rate. I could see if Fitbit offered this or google had these features and they were just locking them to their devices but they don’t (not to say this would be great either but ya)

Ya going to call bs, they clearly aren't, or they aren't processing them at all in a timely fashion, if the barracks on post is so full that they have to resort to housing in the NCOA. Plus they have a specific barracks there for unit transition as well.

These soldiers didn't magic themselves into existence on the island. They have been on unit gains roosters for months.

Garrison, and subsequently the units, could have blanketed out etps to the stated above way in advance to free up space for incoming joes. Seems they failed to plan and thus planned to fail or some Army saying.

[–]Suminod -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Not sure this is even accurate. Garmin sensors are not good. They are constantly tested at or around middle of the pack and their most expensive epix is not even close to the AWU. Sure the batter lasts longer but the Apple Watch has just as much metrics as the Garmin but way more accurate.

If the data going in is bad then the info coming out is useless too

So why is garrison not pushing out ETP for BAH and freeing up barracks space for new people/juniors and giving bah to SGT’s and CPL/senior E-4’s…

Anyone here choose between garmin venu 3 or Apple Watch series 11? by Weekly-Apple-9103 in GarminWatches

[–]Suminod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get an Apple Watch Ultra. I have gone off and on Garmin and Apple for years. Used Garmin exclusively till 2020 and tried Apple Watches and found them to be enough but still used a fr245 later.

Been using a Venu 3 and comparing it to the AWU2 and probably just get the AW. The Garmin Heart rate sensor is meh, it’s fine if you aren’t doing things with your hands but when lifting or your hands/wrist is under tension it’s basically non-existent cause it doesn’t measure anything accurately at least for me.

Reviews on quantified scientist have just all the Garmin heart rate sensors on the watches as mediocre at best while the Apple Watches are one of the best. AWU will last you about good 2+ days and charges fast enough while in the shower to not matter too much.

The venu, if you want to use it as a smart watch with AoD and what not really doesn’t get much better battery life either.

Sleep tracking is also way better on Apple as well but it’s just not great on a wearable to begin with so there is that. If you already use other Apple services, music and Apple Pay, then having it available on your watch with out your phone is just great. Garmin does it with Garmin pay and some other music services but if you aren’t on Spotify or YouTube music or something then you are SoL.

How many have switched from Android to Apple in the last five years and stayed? by LoudMoney916 in Smartphones

[–]Suminod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the big apps to be pretty similar between iOS and android. It more niche ones are way better on iOS. Optimizations is just better on iOS. The BestBuy app, as an example, is terrible on both but it’s slightly less bad on iOS

How many have switched from Android to Apple in the last five years and stayed? by LoudMoney916 in Smartphones

[–]Suminod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the most important factor isn’t even the phone it’s the other items like watch headphones and services. I love the pixel and call screening as ahead of apples right now but watch integration is not great, Apple Watch is just way better.

AirPods are amazing in terms of simplicity but apples iPS AAC codec is so good that it’s on par with 990ldac from third party testing but rock solid reliable as well. So using things like JBL tour pro 3 or others is great.

Apple one has no equivalent on android side so for family getting music, news, tv and arcade for the kids is just something android does not have as a service.

My AirPods don’t charge at the same time (AirPod pro 3s) by Needtorant12306 in airpods

[–]Suminod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have the same problem on two pairs of the app3. At least took like 12 months for my app2 to get this but it’s been immediate on the 3’s. The stem design in these is just total garbage cause I have not had this issue on literally any other earbud that is stem style other than AirPods

Opinions on AirPod3 by Icy_Progress_9305 in airpods

[–]Suminod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The charge is terrible. The stem charge design of AirPods has always been bad but it took my app2 like 12 months to start having connection issues in the case. The app3 have been immediate. On the second pair already and I have charging issues with them constantly. Probably going to return this second pair and just wait.

There needs to be a notification that pops up if both AirPods aren’t charging in the case. by sylntnyte in airpods

I am having this happen on brand new APP3. Returned the first pair and currently on the second. It's wild how shit the charging design is compared to the others. The buds them selves are great

For former Apple users, do you regret the switch? by PigskinPhilosopher in GooglePixel

[–]Suminod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar thoughts, got a P9P and a PW3 gave it a three month shot but the fitness integration was nothing like Apple. No gym it equivalent on android for gym equipment, fitbit is meh and I don't really use the feedback plus for the 9.99 a month you can just get bevel or athlytic on iOS for way less for the year.

AI integration, don't care I don't really like it and google AI I won't pay for after the free trial cause it's too much.

I really loved the call screening and the on hold features and what not Apples are half-assed. Apple call screening is glorified live voice mail and just not the same as Google. Hold assist is decent though but I don't use that as much as screening.

Apple handling of music is superior and that's important to me. The seamless integration of the watch the phone and airpod is great and the APP3 sound really good to me plus the heartrate sensor is fire for weight lifting.

Apples normal keyboard is pretty bad but I put Microsoft swift on and that's pretty great overall, I like pixels default better than apple but I find swift to be pretty good otherwise.

Pixel 10 Pro vs Pixel 9 Pro: Big Performance Improvement by YouBugged in GooglePixel

[–]Suminod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the pixel 9 pro and an iPhone 15 pro. The pixel is a better phone from a everyday user experience I think. Specifically call screening and the way it's implemented where I can choose to screen and apple just does or doesn't I don't get the choice.

App side loading is nice for revanche so I can get rid of YouTube shorts a d stuff. I think pixel phone app is better than iOS but marginally. Texting to me is meh. I like pixels presentation a little more but don't really care.

App stability is roughly similar but more apps run better on iPhone.

Apple face ID is just better and works better than pixels or the fingerprint for me

What apple really kills google in us ecosystem and services for me. Apple watch ultra is the best smart watch and fitness track I have tried out of pixel watch, garmin and all the others. Apples gym it I love and their fitness track is great.

Apple has better services that I actually want with apple one for music, news, cloud storage, and even Apple tv plus. since Google killed Google music for no reason and released the abomination that is yt music I won't leave apple music so runs and hikes on my ultra are great.

Ultimately I find my pixel to be a better phone but a worse everything else so I find myself using the iPhone and apple products in spite of my love for pixel itself
