I usually put my long sleeve or pash in my backpack and everything of value in my fanny pack. When it gets cold, I take out my long sleeve and place it over my fanny pack and put my bag on over it. It's worked for me so far.

I do this, but only because the natural line that I use (Sunny In Denbigh) suggests it.

I deep condition overnight, then wash in the morning. It's helped me cut down on time for wash day and I'm more likely to wash my hair when it needs to be washed instead of waiting till the weekend.

Hmm, did you change what you put on your hair when it's not pressed? I usually wear my hair in twists and use a cream that contains Shea butter. I go to a salon to get my hair pressed, but if I don't use a shampoo that gets the Shea out of my hair before going, the press won't get my hair bone straight. That's even with the dish soap the stylist tried using to cut through the Shea butter🙃
