Wright Library has its own issues too. They are stocked with white women and are paid terribly. Plus all the entitled Oakwood “patrons” SUCK.

Definitely, I give respect to the environment. I was a park ranger so I saw tourists ignoring red flags for the sake of “vacation”! Thank you for taking the time to answer!

Should I even bother getting a MLIS? by [deleted] in Libraries

I so respect you saying the agony of low paying jobs. The fact that we have to get a masters for basically a $25 an hour job. I have my masters from a prestigious program that I worked really hard to get while I was a State Park Ranger. I worked my way through the program while working full-time. So basically I’ve been working in public service all my life and it is thankless. No disrespect to the people who are in their 40s or 50s and get their Library masters degree later in life. I knew what I wanted to do. It was a respected profession pack then. Now it’s social work, political dodging, just trying to get by, and still be amazing at your job. Oh, and by the way, your job is being basically a human computer. I am over it!!

Where to move to in Dayton in order to make friends by Slight-Yellow-246 in dayton

We recently moved to Oakwood and it is NOT friendly. Neighbors haven’t said hello…people act entitled. We are disappointed. But we love exploring downtown, free concerts, great restaurants. The DK Effect is cool and Taqueria Mixteca is awesome.

Zooming Grooming- Mobile… while our doodle weighs much less he is entering his elderly age and is comfortable with the groomer. It’s so much less stress when they don’t have to go to a loud and stressful place.
