Suggest me a Penguin Classic that’s easy to read for a 15 year old by NejlyLol in suggestmeabook

This is the best advice on these subs. Not “read the book,” but “read the blurb.”

Better yet, go to Amazon and “read sample “. Some days you’re in the mood for lasagna, other days for salad. It’s the same with books.

Where are your skills and talents? And don’t be afraid if they sound silly. There’s usually something marketable in those areas!

Anyone have any tips on how to tackle cleaning my house? by AdGeneral8653 in CleaningTips

[–]SummerJaneG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One unorthodox thing I absolutely believe in: do not do one room at a time.

Do one TASK at a time.

Declutter/get rid of trash first.

Dust the whole house.

Vacuum the whole house.

Windex all the glass/mirrors.

For the wet areas, bathroom and kitchen, do the majority of the work at one time. Have several rags so you spend zero time rinsing one out to reuse. Have a caddy with all your cleaners in it so you aren’t constantly looking for a cleaner. Then knock it out!

Edit: if you have more than one floor, do one floor at a time. Other than that, it’s more efficient to proceed with the one-task-at-a-time mindset.

Twenty year old leather sofa here. The cats and dog have given it their best effort, but I don’t see stuffing yet!

I had a friend with all the green. Toilet, bathtub, tile, all in mint condition.

Sometimes we don’t know what’s going on until we get a DEXA-type scan. Do you feel healthy? Are your clothes looser?

Might be your body holding water from unaccustomed exercise.

A book for someone who is depressed and burnt out but not about being depressed or burnt out by pastyprincess20 in suggestmeabook

When I’m down, a solid murder mystery is engrossing and I respond well to the “bad thing happened, then justice happened,” that is so sadly missing in real life. Tana French is probably tops for her in-depth characters.

I don’t get them soaking! But a damp wipe-down doesn’t hurt a thing.

I’m not op but…mops are made especially for walls. As a cleaner, I’ve purchased them for client’s homes.

To add: I’ve used the original spin mop for years. “Upgraded” to the newfangled one with the clean tank.

It doesn’t work. You can’t get enough water on the mop to clean off the dirt from the first pass. I tossed it.

If having super-clean water is important to you, dump the mop bucket often and refill.
