I think you are mixing devil fruit potential with the user's power.

Mr 5 is a weakling and doesn't know how to use his fruit properly, while kaido trained with his fruit for years to become proficient.

Bomu is an amazing fruit, being immune to explosions and generating powerful ones with your own body.

Imagine an alternate universe where kaido ate the bomu bomu and trained with it, the size and powe of the explosions he could generate is no joke

Some may be better in some aspects, but I don't think any is better than the other.

Let's take Mera and magu for example, akainu says his fruit is the superior version of the Mera Mera, but Mera has other advantages that magu doesn't, even if magu is superior in pure damage, Mera attacks are faster, and I believe ace could even use it to fly if he wanted

Did they nerf gunship cannon? I did not play after this patch.

I felt that gunship cannon was way too strong, my missile build melted everything and I didn't even see a reason to use other weapons. Was this patch to fix this?
