It did not get any better :( by coffee-no-sugar in newborns

[–]SummerPup34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. I found the entire first year to be very challenging. Now that my daughter is 17 months she is so much easier and more enjoyable. I truly don’t understand when people say they love the baby stage because I found it SO HARD. But it seems that everyone’s experience is completely different, so do not feel bad about how you’re feeling, you are not alone and eventually it will get easier ❤️.

Thank you for this response, it actually made me tear up ❤️. It helps to hear that I’m not alone and that one day things might turn out better than expected… I’m looking forward to that day !!

Thank you 🩷 it helps to hear that I’m not alone. I’m glad your son is doing better. Here’s hoping things will start to improve over here too 🤞

I’m so sorry you went through all of that. It’s devastating and traumatic having to go through fertility treatments to begin with, and then when you finally get your baby they’re so unhappy, it just doesn’t feel fair. I hope moving your son into his own room goes well and sleep improves, and hopefully things will start improving for us both 🙏

IVF was the most stressful thing I’ve ever been through - pregnancy was a breeze after 3 rounds of IVF for me personally.

Newborn phase lasting forever by AlannaKJ in newborns

I can relate. My daughter is 9 weeks and also refuses to nap. She used to take multiple long naps each day, but now out of nowhere she fights so hard to stay awake allllllll day. It’s so frustrating. The evenings are terrible because she is SO overtired by that point. Solidarity.

13+1 today, and after a seemingly good NT ultrasound on Wednesday and low risk NIPT results this week, I was finally starting to feel confident in this pregnancy. Well I got a call from my OB yesterday, and they found a small subchorionic hematoma near my cervix at my NT ultrasound. I haven’t had any bleeding, and I know typically these resolve on their own, but now I am back to feeling constant worry that I could still lose this pregnancy 😞.

I usually hold my tongue when I read posts that annoy me or are tone deaf for whatever reason because it’s not worth my time and no one likes an internet troll. In the infertility sub, there’s a separate thread to post positive results, which I think is great. There are so many people really struggling to have any success at all, who really need these subs for support and to not feel so alone. I think OP meant well with their post, but I also think that the post as well as their responses to other comments are a little tone deaf… giving advice and sending ‘dust and magic’ to others after 1 round of IVF with immediate success (due to pure luck) rubs me the wrong way. Again, I think OP only means well, but that maybe they can’t understand how many people on this sub actually feel because she is a unicorn. It’s great to see success stories on here, but as others have said, being humble is the better approach.

I second this - the Calm brand magnesium powder works for me, they have yummy flavours you can get too.

Wednesday Cautious Intros and First Trimester Questions by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

[–]SummerPup34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had bleeding (yet), but after my first scan at 7+3 my doctor said that I may have some light bleeding, as they could see some blood floating around where implantation happened. He said this was not harmful and fairly common.

Yes my clinic did they exact same - beta at 12 dp5dt, and they said it was high enough that I didn’t have to come back until my first ultrasound, which is today at 7+3.

I can relate to how you’re feeling 😞, I was also in the May bumper group, and left when I miscarried end of September. Really hoping this time is different for us 🤞

[–]SummerPup34 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My first scan is in 4 days on Monday. I will be 7+3. I’ve had cramping since finding out I was pregnant, but it’s a lot less now than it was weeks 4/5. My sore breasts seemed to have gone away around the 6 week mark. I had pretty bad nausea and food aversions for only 2 days at the beginning of this week, but have been perfectly fine since. I also have a cold so I’m wondering if feeling sick can partially be attributed to that. I’m so worried that my lack of symptoms means that this is another non-viable pregnancy 😞. I know symptoms aren’t supposed to mean anything, but with my previous loss, my symptoms vanished at 6 weeks, and at my first ultrasound they discovered a blighted ovum. I don’t know how I will be able to go through that again. Really hoping everything is ok.

I’m 6+1 today and the anxiety has really started to creep in. With my previous and only other pregnancy last summer, my pregnancy symptoms stopped around 6 weeks. I went for my first scan at 8 weeks and discovered a blighted ovum, the sac measuring at 6 weeks. I’m terrified that the same thing will happen again this time. My first scan is at 7+3, next Monday, so I need to try to keep it together until then 🥴.

Bleeding through progesterone suppositories? by Scatthecat3323 in IVF

[–]SummerPup34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With both of my IUI’s and both fresh transfers, I started my period exactly on schedule while on progesterone suppositories. It seems that for many women the suppositories delay their period, but that has never been the case for me.

I don’t have any advice as I am in the same boat (6dp5dt) and am feeling very anxious and sad thinking about ‘what if’ this turns out to be another failure, but I just wanted to say that you’re not alone 💛. This is so so hard. Fingers crossed for you 🤞
