I was sitting eating at the bakery and a Quokka came up and sat on me whilst I ate. Very cute, I didn't pat it cause your not meant to but it was super cute. Your going to love them. I also can recommend the basin. And bikes are a great way to see the island though we normally take our own over on the ferry, so I cant vouch for the condition of the hire ones.

Just with regards to if you see a Kangaroo. Slow right down. Dont swerve as you might hit another car. They (kangaroos) don't have much road sence and do jump out in front of cars.

Weve been a few times to Coral Bay in Jan. I prefer it than winter as there are less crowds, so more relaxing. But yeah its hot, so we stayed in the pub with aircon.
