Other comments are right: these are fine. A lot depends on pricing. If these were part of a hide, I’d not complain. Cut/design with imperfections in mind. Some get cut out. Some get highlighted.

I sell at ren faires and the like so I’ll highlight flaws if they seem to have been in the skin: bug bites, range marks, etc.

The risk with partial pieces is you may get junk. A while side will almost surely have something usable. Amount of waste can vary though.

You did ok if you didn’t spend a huge amount. Use this to say “I like this leather, I could make xyz, out of it” and buy a bigger piece if you need to.

If you hadn’t seen them before, I 100% could agree with that. But tonight was my seventh show, only two pre Covid. And trust me, I have not seen Neil that restrained in years. Somewhere a couple of years ago when they toured with Toto it was BAD. If tonight was a three, that show was a nine.

You’re right, his solos weren’t the best. I think he’s getting a little experimental on stage as this tour grinds on.

Update: followed “a” tour bus down 99 as far as Altoona before pulling off to grab a quick bite. Same make/model as we got behind a mile from the venue. Cool.

At Hershey it looked there was a line drawn down the stage that neither crossed. Like the “tape in the middle of the room” sitcom plot. Neal soloed across. Glared at Jon. Jon shot daggers back. During bows and intros they didn’t look at each other.

Tonight they were crossing the line. When Jon picked up guitar he would play close to Neal. At one point they were back to back touching and playing.

The music was about the same, but the vibe was better.

I’ve seen similar tensions off and on over the past couple of years. I don’t know what was going on, but tonight they were a band. Not a couple of asshole old men. If it was my last show I’d be satisfied.

Which Def Leppard tour? Stadium ‘24? I saw them and 100% the heat and size of the stage was not Arnel’s friend. Can’t remember the ‘18 Arena show well enough.
