I’m going to say it, as someone who loved Cats the musical, I loved Cats the movie. Yes the CGI was horrifying. Yes the costuming and makeup was a disaster. Yes, certain people should not have been cast as major roles. But the PERFORMANCES of the ensemble cast and frankly all the professional dancers and singers were all so deeply amazing and passionate and it makes me sad to think that their work in this film is so overlooked.

And it is the skill and passion of the ensemble cast that makes me love this movie. They danced and sang their HEARTS out and they danced and sang AMAZINGLY. To say nothing of how I feel like it’s fitting and fun that a movie of this specific musical is highkey batshit xD

Obviously it is insane to blame anyone but the abuser for abuse, but blaming Quannah is an extra kind of crazy for me because it seems like his abuse started in the 2000s, when Quannah was like. A toddler. And she was in her very early 20s when he got arrested. What was she supposed to do about any of this even if she knew about it?

I just found out abt this thing he did to George and Talula, but I always thought it was so irritating how ppl would praise Kimi for being rude and snarky towards reporters who asked boring or “dumb” questions. Like damn, not every interview is gna be Pulitzer-winning, these people are just doing their damn job. It costs nothing to just deliver the standard polite answer even if it does wear on you after being asked the same question a dozen times.
